Great Staff ... Poor Food
My partner bought me here. He is a Diamond Member and was recognised for this. Our suite was nice and so are the staff. He booked for 5 nights and we considered staying a further 5, but moved on to Le Blanc. My problem with the Hilton .. NO vegetarian main course offer in the main restaurant for dinner and the food was served luke warm (in this climate). On the few nights we ate here, the restaurant was mostly very quite as I think most people had gone out. Other things were lacking like no bread service and he had some Fajitas which were cool and very poor. Breakfast is ok. The main bar is nice, but no peanuts or pretzels are given with drinks, which were £15 a pop. Another big gripe is just the lack of information in the room..where to go, what to do, local info, room service menu. On checking out they said the room service menu was on the television.. thanks! This place is very isolated and to go anywhere by Taxi costs a fortune. We took a cab to a Chinese Restaurant a few miles up the road, $20. My partner is very wealthy, so it’s not the money, it’s just robbery! The hotel is clean and runs like clockwork but perhaps the management should think outside the clock ...
We're currently staying at the Hilton Los Cabos and the resort is beautiful. With that said, we're unsatisfied with the front office check in process. There is definitely room for improvement. We were not given a brief on the amenities available to us (concierge, room service, kids club, vista club etc) as we had to seek this information out on our own after check in. We asked for room upgrade availability and was initially told nothing was available. We went back after the first night as the room we got wasn't quiet enough due to a constant humm from I suspect is the HVAC system outside. The second attempt resulted in possibly getting the final 2 nights upgraded to La Vista ocean views, but by the time i discussed this with my wife, only one night was available. I just wish the whole process felt more welcoming and they tried harder to help us with the request and communicate everything clearly so that we wouldn't waste or time and efforts to make this a more enjoyable trip. In this regard, they didn't go above and beyond where a brand like Hilton should aspire to. Now we're just sleep deprived waiting to finally get our upgrade so that we could get a good night's rest. Staff helping with food and drinks are wonderful. No complaints there.
A Smashing Experience ..
We are booked here for 11 nights with 9 to go......................... For you Brits who may think Cabos is a bit far .. the 11 hours flight on a Dreamliner in First was a breeze. At the Airport there is a Hilton, actually within the Airport, a few minutes from arrivals. A really good hotel. Next morning, a free transfer is provided by the hotel to Terminal 2 for the under 2 hour flight to Cabos. We pre booked our transfer so knew where to go, but I have never seen so many timeshare people, ignore them, be warned. We used Grey Line for the transfer which took 30 minutes and cost 65$ return. We received a nice welcome at the Hilton with a cracking Margarita and we booked a Vista Suite on Level 6 which offered very good value. The room is spotless and very clean/comfortable and comes with several perks, lounge access with a happy hour etc and has a seriously good bathroom. One benefit we really really appreciate is the pressed coffee and tea service delivered complimentary to the room any time you wish, between 6am and 11pm. The TV service in the room is excellent for movie buffs like us with several English movie channels showing really good films. There is a roped off are by the pool for Vista guests where you are really looked after and we love the lunchtime complimentary service of Guacamole and a small Beer, the staff in this area are excellent. Breakfast is fabulous with lots of choice for healthy eating or serious munching, very very good. We had a meal in the main restaurant on our first night which we didn’t rate at all, both the Soup and Fajitas were not good at all with the Soup very Luke warm and no bread service. Last night we ate at the Italian which was excellent. There is hidden away on ground level a coffee, food and liquor store which is quite useful is you need some Tonic or what ever. The Beach is loverly, clean and safe with a few hawkers/jokers who try to sell straw hats for 50$ ... Main restaurant experience apart, this is one of the nicest Hilton’s we have ever stayed in (we are both individual Diamond Members) and as a comparison, it’s better that the Waldorf Astoria Palm Island in Dubai or the Conrad in Singapore or the Hilton in New York. Anyway, that’s my review..
The little touches were appreciated
We visited to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately the hotel started renovations the same week we were there. We did not know this when we booked in April. The hotel did email us a few weeks before we arrived but at that point we didn’t have much choice. It was a little noisy but nothing too bad. They seemed to try and cover up the noise with the music. While there isn’t as much entertainment as other resorts we have stayed in we did appreciate the special touches (sunglasses cleaning, welcome cocktail, fruit popsicles, wine spritzers, delivered pool side, etc). The food at all 3 restaurants while a little expensive was really good. Enjoyed the small animal towel art by the turn down service. Would definitely visit again. All staff super friendly.
The hotel is good and the staff very friendly but the requests about the clse room ,never are got because our room was in different floor ,the breakfast is expensive and no good. Ok ???????????. The restaurant 560 is the worst restaurant in my life the services is very bad the are no professional
