Clean, Friendly, Good Location.
My family of 3 stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms were nice & clean and had a great balcony. The staff were nice as well. Not much of a view from the hotel but there are very few hotels right on the beach so we decided to save a few bucks as it was 3 blocks from the beach. It was across the street from the Mall which had some nice quick places to eat. There is so much to see in the area, both right outside the hotel as well as around it. The trolley went by the hotel and stopped 1 block away. The area was, in my opinion, very safe. The pool area had a nice bar and was busy but not crowded. The market downstairs was a bit pricey compared to nearby markets. The market downstairs had food, seating areas and snacks to bring to the room which we used for breakfast. Bottom line, this is not a resort. There are nicer, true resorts in Waikiki if you want to spend more. If you are going just for the beach and beach views, this may not be the hotel for you. For us, this hotel was what we needed as we were out and about most of the day. Thanks for a great stay!!
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn as it was part of a package holiday we did with Air New Zealand, which included flights, 5 nights accommodation, airport transfers, buffet breakfast, resort fees and a bus to the Waikele Outlet Centre. We have stayed at hotels on the beach before which of course is really nice but costs a lot more, so we were happy with the package. Because we arrived in the morning we were not able to check-in straight away so we stored our bags and went for a walk, returning later and being able to check-in at lunch time. The Hotel has been renovated a couple of years ago, we had a king city view room and had asked for a room on a higher floor, we were on the 14th floor, we were happy with the size of the room and facilities, good air-con, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, hairdryer etc. The room was clean and well serviced every day before we got back. The only thing for us was that we found the bed a little too firm. The breakfast buffet was good, although the same every day but you could get your eggs cooked a different way or have an omelet. There was a pool on level 3, although we did not use the pool we got towels to take to the beach. The location was great being able to walk through the International Market Place, then over the road and down the beach walk (near the Cheesecake Factory) to the beach. The hotel is central to all the shops and restaurants, the staff were all helpful and friendly so overall we were very happy with our stay.
The Inn is very nice and clean , perfect
The staff are nice and accommodating , hospitality all over especially your staff Josie Castillo for being so nice . She ushered us and so patient explaining all the details in the hotel . Even help us where to go as we are visitor in the island . I commend her and thank her for being so nice to us .
Great location, wonderful service!
We stayed for 8 nights at the beginning of August. The service we received from the very start of our stay until the end was consistently fantastic. What a fantastic location, so central to everything on Waikiki. Nothing seemed like more than a 10 minute walk away. The beach is a block from the hotel, and there are many restaurants and shops nearby to choose from. There is also a Starbucks Reserve store a mere block away- they have amazing service and we went there daily. We booked a city view room and got a room on the 4th floor facing the International Market mall. Even though we were facing the very busy street, we didn't hear any street noise from inside our room, so we slept soundly. The room was a good enough size for us and our luggage to stay for the week, and the bathroom vanity was quite large. There is a mini-fridge that works well, a Keurig coffee machine, and a kettle. A safe is also provided. There was a small balcony that fit a little table and 2 chairs, nice to have coffee there in the mornings. The room was clean, and was a comfortable place to recharge. Tina did a great job cleaning our room daily. One thing to note- there is construction going on across Walina street that can be very loud and starts early, so I would request a room not facing that direction if possible. We are Diamond members so the breakfast buffet was included. A very nice assortment to choose from: bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, potatoes, rice, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, and a variety of pastries. They also did 'cook to order' omelettes and eggs as well, and were delicious. The only thing that was a pain was parking here is valet only, and we like being able to just jump in the car and leave when we want. So we avoided the valet for the first few days by parking on the street, we would just have to remember to plug the meter every two hours. But one night we just couldn't find street parking so begrudgingly went to the valet for $42/day. We asked about the waits in the morning, because it always appeared to be utter chaos. They said they could have us on the Express list for a specific time, and they would have it in 10-15 minutes. It wasn't the "jump in and go" that we like, but it wasn't as bad as it appeared. And the valets were all so friendly, polite, and always smiling. And alot if them working which helps. But there really needs to be a "self park" option for guests. We had a late flight out, and the HGI was able to give us a later checkout for 2pm, and also gave us a courtesy room for 45 minutes for whenever we needed to shower and change before our flight, which was a nice gesture. The bellboys were able to keep our luggage is a secure area before our flight as well, so it didn't have to sit in our car. Overall, this was a fantastic stay at the HGI Waikiki Beach. The service and amenities were amazing, Hilton just needs to change the parking policies and allow self-park options to their guests. Mahalo HGI and Hawaii!
From arrival with the Porters to check in, to housekeepers to pool / bar staff to leaving everyone has been awesome. Our housekeeper Pam was amazing as were the weekend staff. Room was light and airy, AC was brilliant. International Market across the road. A block from the beach with so many easy ways to get there. The tours we did pick up was either outside the hotel or a short walk to the Hotel you needed. Would recommend you stay here. We had a wonderful time and will defiantly be back. THANK YOU ALL
