Beautiful Resort- Would Recommend
I booked this resort through Delta vacations and it did not disappoint. I stayed in room 2201 view 06/14/2019-06/17/2019. Pros- As a solo traveler, I felt safe. The resort is beautiful and the staff are all wonderful! The presence of security and staff walking the grounds allowed me to feel at ease (though Aruba is safe) I ate at Gilligan’s Seafood Shack and the food was amazing. Drinks were even better (not watered down) The onsite Oscar's market was great, must try the gelato, almond croissants and coffee!!! The breakfast Buffet at Laguna Restaurant was equally tasty. I love that there are books available to borrow to read from the Towel/Palapa renting station I found the staff very attentive and helpful in recommending local eatery options and providing directions for the hotel property/surrounding areas. There is ample space throughout the resort lobby areas where you can relax with that gentle Aruba breeze kissing your skin.. :) I would definitely stay again, but probably book ocean view instead of Garden View. Cons- Being in a room so close to an exit, was great for access to the main area of the resort however, the door to the room wouldn’t close behind me completely (soft close). I would have to ensure it with by shutting it twice. I would've loved to relax on the terrace, but there were too many mosquitoes, dust and cob webs. Which led me to believe that area wasn't attended to in quite a while. The room itself wasn't dirty, but when you walk into the bathroom for the first-time seeing urine still in the toilet was meh. Even though I did rent a Palapa- I found $45-$55 to be a bit pricey. And you will definitely need a Palapa if you’re on the beach! Overall, I had an amazing time in Aruba and will definitely be back!

Poker in Aruba - Hilton Casino is the ONLY PLACE you should go
Ok, We planned a trip to Aruba to celebrate my son’s high school graduation and going to college and wanted a place where he could drink and gamble legally (he is 18). The purpose in addition to having fun, was to give him a taste of being a grown up. My wife and I (and my son when we do home games) like to play Texas Hold-em. My wife and I do annual weekends to Vegas to play in tournaments and we also do it back in Colorado. So..we have a good sense of what a well run poker room and a poker tournament looks and feels like. We researched all the casinos in Aruba and in particular those that have poker rooms. Once we got to Aruba, we scoped out the 2 most highly rated poker rooms - The Hilton and the Holiday Inn. No Doubt, the Hilton was absolutely the best place we saw. (Don’t go to the Holiday Inn - it is run down and the people are not helpful.) The Hilton Poker room is VERY well run and is in fantastic shape. The Casino itself is clean and up to date and feels like a small corner of any casino in the States. Cornelius (nickname “Winky”) runs the poker room like a tightly run ship. The rules were clear, the dealers super fast, never made a mistake and were incredibly nice. Everyone playing had a great time - particularly given how focused the entire staff was on customer service, but also towing the line on the game rules. We played cash games the first night and a tournament the next night. The entire staff recognized us and made us feel right at home. The tournament structure is the typical turbo - with 15min blinds, starting stacks are 50 big blinds. When we were there they had 2 re-buys and one add-on, which everyone did, so while the buy-in is $35 (pretty low), ultimately the cost runs ~$95, which is still pretty reasonable for 4-5hrs of poker if you make it to the end. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you want to play Poker in Aruba
Would definitely stay again
We enjoyed our stay at this Hilton property. It is right on the beach. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. They give diamond members a $25 food and beverage credit instead of free breakfast. Parking was a little difficult but overall it is a great property.
NEVER AGAIN! We came in on 6/14/19-6/18/19 for my fiancées 30th Birthday. Today, on 6/16/19 we’re wishing we stayed elsewhere. The grounds themselves are fairly nice, but the lack of help and ignorance from the front desk/management staff is despicable. The shower in our room would pulsate from normal temperature water we’d shower with and it would become extremely HOT then back to normal then HOT even after adjusting the temperatures accordingly. (Not our first time showering LOL) After telling the staff on 6/15 they said they’d have it fixed, they never did. 6/16 same story, they said they’d send maintenance up immediately. We waited an hour and a half, never came. We went back downstairs to complain, they told us that the maintenance staff came and fixed The issue at hand, which was a complete LIE since we had waited for them to show up and they didn’t. Hence why we went down to complain AFTER CALLING THE FIRST TWO TIMES. At the time of confronting the desk staff, the front desk associate was nice and went to speak with a manager or supervisor. <br/>The supervisor or manager seemed like she didn’t really care and was just pacifying us. She did offer to give us free access to the palm beach clubs breakfast, but I declined since that’s not fixing the issue at hand and I care more about our skin being scorched than a free fruit bowl. This lack of care and the way it was handled literally ruined the whole mood of our stay and we would never come back. We were considering having our wedding here....Not anymore. Still another two nights left unfortunately, it’s a shame because Aruba is our favorite place on earth. Things of this nature shouldn’t happen, and if it does it should be rectified in a proper manner, not brushed off like it’s no big deal. Finally, maintenance did come while we were at the pool and left a small card saying “we mix the hot and cold water. It’s OK“ that is not a sufficient diagnosis/fix and if I get burned again I will be contacting corporate . Disappointed is an understatement HORRIBLE FIRST IMPRESSION
