Awesome trip to paradis
We arrived at the Hilton resort on Aug 7 and left on Aug 13, 2019. We arrived and check in was smooth and quick and our room was immediately ready for us. We had a partial beach view and were in room 1713. As you look out you see the ocean and boats. The beds were super comfy and the pillows were awesome. Bienvienda kept our room clean and made sure we got everything we needed. The only problem with our room was this: without my glasses I can’t see to good unless I’m close to the mirror. The lighting wasn’t the best and if your like me you will definitely need some sort of mirror of your own to put your makeup on because if not you are too far away or can’t see because of lighting. The grounds were super clean. They had parrots and when they took them out of the cages you could get free pictures with them. The pool was nice but quiet. The beach was beautiful. A tip - go to the beach to the right of the spa because believe it or not it was less windy due to the higher hotel next door blocking the wind. I suggest bringing your own floats. They will blow them up at the towel cabana so no worries there. Be sure to check your receipts because more often than not there is a gratuity on it. Gabriel at the pool bar was on target. I’m not sure if this was the busy season because we were able to get chairs by pool without a problem. Apparently there are free palapas that are far back so you may want to ask about that. If you take a paddle Board class it’s free but if you just want to rent them they we 10 an hour. The beach water was blue and shell less so it was nice. The pool could’ve had more music throughout the day but it was good. Denko was nice and gave us some information. Taxis are plentiful so you don’t ever have to worry about transportation. Not one person approached us to buy anything or force us to go on an excursion. That was awesome. We had breakfast included and the food was always fresh. Cecila was so friendly and solano made awesome omelettes. The lavazza team made sure our coffee was ready and waiting. Yuly cata yudelea Suzy we’re so hospitable. (Sorry if I spelled any names wrong. The Hilton was right in the center of the town making it easy to walk around town without a problem. I would truly go back to the Hilton again. I’m missing paradise already.
7 days in paradise
Stayed at the Hilton for 7 nights starting August 4th. Most beautiful water and beach we have ever seen. The hotel was kept up nicely as were the grounds. The staff was wonderful! Every single one of them. The room was nice, the bedding excellent, Had a lovely view of the ocean and pools. Check in was a breeze, room was ready early, Check out just as easy, The work out room was very nice. Excellent location. Tons of restaurants and shopping right out front and down the street to the left. Breakfast favorites were Dushi Bagels and Gelatissimo. You could walk to everything, Felt very safe there, Bring your water bottles, much easier to just fill them up, Palapas are free if you book it at 4pm the day before. I thinks it is ridiculous they make you pay otherwise. You need shade for sure, Lovely breeze always blowing which keeps you cool. The weather could not be more perfect there. Only ate at the beach restaurant twice and it was good. Pools were always clean and inviting, Plenty of activities going on. Never felt the place was crowded. Plenty of chairs at beach and pool. Not gamblers so didn't go to the casino. You won't regret staying here!
Wonderful resort. Very friendly staff, beautiful grounds and relaxing atmosphere. We took advantage of the cycling tour offered through the activity board. Our guide Denko was awesome! He provided great information about the island and showed us some great spots to explore later in our trip. Rooms were very clean and well serviced. We will definitely be back!
Another Great Stay At The Hilton Aruba
My wife and I just came back from a 2 week stay at the Hilton Aruba. We've been coming here since it was the Radisson and still a great place. The beach is probably the best on the island, but the staff is what makes it truly memorable. From Rosa Mary and Marie at Gilligan's who have become dear friends to Christina, Ronaldo, Alajandra, Adrianna, and Tiko at Mira Solo plus others help make the stay wonderful. Can't wait for our next trip in 2020. Save me a palapa on the beach!
Thanks for the memories!
The Hilton Aruba seems to currently have a problem with room reservations. Many of the guests were asked to change rooms one or more times. This is not acceptable when guests have reservations and they should be honored. The resort locations is beautiful with wonderful employees who go out of their way to make your experience a memorable one! The resort is very nice as well, the rooms would benefit from an updating, our shower did not work properly one second u were freezing the next you were burning your self. When we called for maintenance he shared the fixtures were old and he could not help us! WHAT! Recommendations - My family tried Linda's Dutch pancakes, they were not a fan of the crepe like pancakes, so next time I would skip this establishment. Casa Tua skip the food and the service is nothing to brag about instead try Amore Mio the pasta portions are double and the food is excellent. Also Gianni's is very good again the portions are large and can be shared. Smokey Joe's is a nice casual eatery. Eduardo Beach Shack was visited frequently for smoothies but I believe they are not made from fresh fruit but a puree, but for $5.00 what can u expect. FYI- don't forget water tubes & sunscreen. Being a Hilton Honors member means NOTHING at this hotel no benefits!
