Best Girl’s Trip Ever!!!
The hotel is lovely! The room are nice and always keep clean! All the staff were so nice and accurate. Absolutely lovely and treated us so well. The beaches are beautiful and just steps away from your front door. I would definitely recommend a stay at this resort.
No Minibar issues here!!! And Oh What memories....
I had an AMAZING time. The resort is large, clean, and spacious. As soon as we stepped on to the resort, we were welcomed with cool towels and drinks, and more importantly WARM SMILES. The checking process was smooth. ESTALIN NIN was fantastic and very patient with us girls!! Our room was ok, but WILLIAM was ready to please and moved us to a more comfortable room. Our location was excellent...about 15 steps from the beach. The food was fresh and tasty. The alcoholic drinks from only SEALED containers and top shelf for sure. I was surprised to see Absolute Vodka! Never got sick once. The beach was stunning. The activities engaging. I would only caution about the bubble party at the pool...at times, the bubbles were too much. Nevertheless it was FUN!! I had such a great time. I RECOMMEND this resort so much. This is my second time going this year!! If you get a chance, request a loft suite. The views are amazing!! Lastly, special recognition to LAURA GUERRERO at Concierge. She went ABOVE and BEYOND to provide EXCELLENT customer service. I had asked her for a favor and she EXCEEDED my expectations. I was left with such a great impression of this place. I CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN.
A Very "Grand Palladium" Palace Resort Spa & Casino
Great resort with many pluses and few negatives. Stayed at the palace from 28th July to 8th Aug with my wife, 21 year old son and 18 year old daughter....here's an honest review cutting to the key points: Good 1. transport easy to get on and get around, as 3 hotels in the resort, bavaro, punta cana, and palace 2. a la carte restaurants, Japanese, Indian, Argentinian and el Dorado steakhouse really good. Posiedon lunch buffet also good. 3. Staff are friendly throughout the hotel, especially when you tip them 4. Swim up pool good also, efficient and easy to get served 5. Beach bars great, and whole beach area safe and secure, we spent most days there, often leaving our belongings whilst swimming, taking walks etc and never encountered any issues 6. Guest services staff (far right in palace lobby) always very helpful 7. Rooms cleaned daily and cleaning staff always friendly, don't understand comments about suspect cleaning staff stealing?? our cleaners looked after us suberbly 8 Finally if in the palace, try and get villa 94, which is 5 mins walk to lobby, 2 mins to beach, and 2 mins to pool area Bad: 1. Concierges are a disgrace, they will pester you to go for their "VIP Breakfast" and only until you tell them no they will leave you alone, but then they will give you dirty looks and make sarcastic comments like "thank you for helping me" 2. Portofino (Italian) restaurant a total sham in terms of food quality, service and the whole experience , avoid this restaurant at al costs. 3. Same can be said for Spanish and Mexican restaurants, very poor food, cold, late and requests mixed up and omitted, 3 nights dinner wasted
First Family Vacation
Besides having a horrible problem with Jet Blue airline (which I don't recommend to anyone) We had a few problems with the room because of air conditioning and toilet but, the staff dod work hard to try to fix the problem. Finally after many attempts they were unable to and upgraded and switched our room where on the last day of being there a transformer blew and again no AC but overall the staff was extremely friendly, the rooms were beautiful, the resort was amazing, the food was one of the best and freshest I have ever experienced, the shopping a little expensive but very nice and clean. Always someone willing to help you and people cleaning rooms, hallways everything. the pools and beach emasculate no trash thrown anywhere and always something fu. to do from foam pool party to dancing and shows. I will definitely go back to this resort
Go somewhere else! Worst resort ever!
I spent 6 days with my girlfriends at this resort to celebrate our 50th birthdays together. None of us had ever been to an all inclusive so we were looking forward to all the amenities that come with this. Our experience was very, very disappointing. Here are the “issues”: 1)-the A/C is awful. We were unable to raise or lower the temp in our room all week. We complained EVERYDAY to the front desk, our travel agent, vacation express, and received NO resolution. As we were leaving/checking out, one of my friends discovered the “guest services desk” ( no sign that this is what this area was and NO ONE all week pointed to that direction!! WTH???). 2)Rooms-they look nice, updated, stylish, etc. however the bathrooms however were a DEATH TRAP. The tub/shower has a 3 ft wall to climb over to get in and out of shower. We did have a little wood step but it slipped if you stepped on it wrong. The floors are that shiny, slick tile that when wet, are very unsafe. We used about 4 towels a day on the floor just to avoid injury when getting in and out. It was ridiculous. One of our rooms( we had 3 for a group of 7, none of them close to one another either)had mold growing up the wall and for some reason, when that was reported, the management had 4 people in their room with in 15 mins and moved them to a new room promptly. 3) Annoying and intrusive beach Vendors: I had never been anywhere where Vendors were allowed to walk the beach and approach beach goers-They were very intrusive( waking you up even in your lounge chair!). They say “Ola” and the minute you look up, or reply, they are on you, fast! The guys with the monkey are the worst! My best advice is to ignore them and be rude. Do not engage them in any way. This was a MAJOR turnoff to me. 4) the FOOD: one word-AWFUL. The worst food I have ever had on any vacation ANYWHERE. Seriously, the worst. We tried every restaurant and buffet and it was all terrible. 5) LANGUAGE BARRIER- this was a huge issue. The people who do speak some English, speak VERY LITTLE. Now, I know we are in their country, but being a tourist destination, I would have expected it to be a lot better. I will never set foot in Punta Cana again. I managed to have fun with my girlfriends despite the issues, but I would never go back. There are plenty of other places/countries that would welcome our American money and know how to treat their guests. The best part of the week is that no one got sick( DO NOT DRINK THE WATER, even on the resort), and no one died( we went in the midst of the time where 11 people died in Punta Cana which they have no idea why...no deaths at this resort I will point out). Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.
