Lots of good, some not so good
We stayed here January 4th - January 11th. The resort is big and beautiful. Too big in our opinion. They do have golf carts to take you around but sometimes that isn't all that convenient as they only go one way, so you may have to got through the entire resort to get to where you want to go. We were in building 15 in the family side. It was about a 20 minute walk to get to the beach. The family section of the beach was small and crowded. We've only gone to adults only resorts and are used to having close access to the bars and liquor in your room. Not here in the family side. They stock the refrigerator with two Coors Lights and one Dos Equis and it didn't get restocked daily. We tried to call room service to have drinks brought up and was told we could only get juice and tea brought up. There is a pool bar close to building 15 but after that closes around dark, it's a 20 minute walk to go to a bar for a drink. We enjoy ending our days by being able to sit out on our balcony with a couple of drinks but weren't able to do that here. The food was probably the best of any all inclusive resort we've ever been to, however, not all restaurants were open and we never got a daily sheet saying which restaurants were open or closed. Usually we get a daily activity sheet at the resorts but not here. We never knew of any daily activities. We were told it was on our interactive tv, but we couldn't find anything helpful. It was also confusing as to which beaches, pools, and bars we were allowed to use. There are specific one's for the Adults only, Travel Club, Family Select, and Regular Family and it wasn't very clear which ones we could use. The spa was fantastic. We did get massages and by getting that we had access to the hydrotherapy area, which they charge for otherwise. Other resorts we've been to, we received one use of the hydrotherapy area. We really did enjoy the massage and hydrotherapy area though. We also went to the CHIC show, which cost $100 per person but that was fantastic and well worth it. The staff was outstanding and very fun and friendly. The only complaint here was getting hounded by the time share people. We've never been pestered so much by time share people at other resorts. Overall we had a wonderful time. Being from Wisconsin, how do you not have a good time on a beach or pool in January. I don't know if I would come back, especially to the family side. Maybe the adult only side would be better. We did try to upgrade to that side but it was over $1000 to do that.
Birthday Trip!! Amazing Place!
This hotel was amazing! The staff was even better. They knew us as Kory and DJ!! We had a great time! From the time we arrived we checked in and as we were checking in we were offered a refreshing drink that was much needed after a long flight. Once we got our room keys somebody sat down with us and gave us great information about how to get around the resort and everything that the resort had to offer. We then took the golf car to our room. We stayed in a loft and he gave us a tour and showed us where everything was in the room. It was very helpful! Now lets talk about how great the staff was! Everybody was great but Jorge, Jesus, Alan, Moises and Elliot were the BEST!! They made our trip lit. They made sure we had the best time. They made sure we had lots of Tequila!!! They didn't stop. They had a good time with us. Elliot even got on stage and sang happy birthday to me in English and Spanish. When we were finished drinking for the day they would always say "we'll see you tomorrow?!" Of course we came to see them everyday because they were the best of time. The rooms were very clean. I mean like spotless. Nothing to complain about. The resort was quiet. Even though it wasn't an adults only resort, it was still quiet. Except by the bars where there was Tequila lol. Oh also the steak at the steak house was the bomb!!! If you choose this hotel you have to try it. And don't forget to go see Jorge, Jesus, Alan, Moises and Elliot at the bar by the pool!! Tell them Kory and DJ sent you lol
Artemio, francisco and joshua are very nice barman!!! We had a very nice trip there, the people the hotel the service the restaurant the entertainment everything was very on point ! Thank you so much guys!
Services with smiles
Stayed Jan 7th thru 14th 2020. I was a guest with my family. So I was staying as a Travel Club guest. I now realize why people join travel clubs. The service received was so far beyond my expectations. The staff of this resort were nothing short of outstanding. All staff of the travel club were remarkable, from check in to the pool area. Tino at the Travel Club Members pool was fantastic and made us feel like VIP's daily, he knew our drink orders and once he knew that, we never went thirsty. I also never saw him stop moving and helping everyone. Guillermo, Josue and Sergio also made our days relaxing at the pool a pleasure. Houdini at the other pool bar broke us in our first night and is a class act bartender. From our spectacular rooms with nightly turn down services to getting rides from place to place on this beautiful open resort, even the drivers like Rafael made our trip great by Bri g helpful, friendly and making us feel so welcome. The resort hands down was beautiful but I can't speak enough about its staff and service from them. They really were helpful in everyway possible. Moreover, the Spa is out of this world, food is good but I'm not going to rave about it. Shopping good and assistance for excursions is great. We had a beautiful time at the Grand Palladium and I owe it to the staff. Kudos to you. I hope I could return one day to visit you all again.
Amazing place and stay and staff were wonderful!
We had a wonderful week at this resort! The property was lovely, clean and modern , as were the rooms. The rooms were quite big too and the beds were comfortable. We were with other families and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely! The restaurants were wonderful and the food was very good! The drinks were great and not watered down like some resorts. They used premium spirits for the drinks! All the staff were very friendly and wonderful. There was lots to do in the evening and great shows ! We would highly recommend this resort!
