On a scale from 1 to 10 I will give this hotel 5. Breakfast is very poor. Sergio from sushi bar is very nice!!! Tip him well!!! Not the best spot to enjoy the beach. You can get to visit the other grand oasis witch is much better.
I never got around to making a review. But I know it needed to be done and other people need to know about this awful hotel. My husband and I arrived on a Sunday at 12pm by 2pm we were gone! I couldn't stop crying it was so awful I booked a "nicer" room and got checked in by the club room- they were so nasty in there. Lucky for them I dont remember anyones names. We walked into the room and it smelled horrible. The tub on the porch was all scraped up and the whole floor was chipped. And bathtub had yellow water coming out of it! My 2 hour experience was horrendous ! Thank gd Expedia found us a new hotel right away!
Horrible Food! Construction going on!
It all sounds good, Adults Only, Caribbean Ocean, drinks and sunshine. NOT!! I have been to Cancun many times and this hotel was the worst. They serve you the cheapest food ever, not even the authentic mexican food at the Maria Bonita restaurant was edible. My daughter and I walked out twice from the restaurants. While you are trying to relax by the pool, the electric saw is in your ears all day because they are doing lots of repairs, so annoying. Note: No one mentioned there was construction you just find out there. Upgrade to the white wrist band, you'll at least have decent drinks and some edible food.Note: No one offers you the upgrade you just find out when you order at the bar and the "lovely" bartender says "not included"! I did encounter two real friendly waiters at the Italian restaurant, Eliseo was one of them, super sweet guy, Italian restaurant was somewhat edible. The front desk staff was not really friendly. Overall the staff seem to have a "I don't care" attitude, some were extremely rude. Will never return!
Not the best.....
We booked a girls trip to this resort and was so looking forward to the stay. Just as many others have written, the air was out and no one seemed to care. Management knew this when our group checked in but said nothing. So, needless to say after two flights, waiting in the hot sun for our shuttle, only to get to an unairconditioned room. After questioning when our air would be fixed, we were told on the third day, it was unfixable. We later found on our way to the airport to leave, that the resort was in transition to a new managment company and that was the reason. Whatever the case, it as inexcusable, it was not like our trip was free, we were not accommodated by moving to a sister resort, nothing. I heard from several other guests that their stay last year was great and why they returned this year. This was my first trip and i was so looking forward to my trip and stay. On the flip side, the staff at the restaurants were very nice and accommodating. However, we did not find until after we checked in that there was a significant difference in the blue and white bands. So, please get the "white" bands if you would like to enjoy your stay, the management seems to cater to them a bit more. Had I known, I would have updgraded, but in this case, I don't know that it mattered much.
Bad food and Few Activities for 5 days.
When I checked in a customer told me to ignore the jack hammer that was going on by the pool daily. I got to my room and the air conditioning was dripping on my head. 2 trips with repair men could not fix it. Half of the floors are under repair. The ice they serve is not filtered and you will get sick. The breakfast is not good quality, can't eat the bacon at all. Very few activities to do during the day, not at all what they show you online. I have been to Cancun 5 times and I was glad to leave this hotel. Very poor quality of food and drinks.
