Spectacular views and accommodations on Hilo Bay...
I selected the Grand Naniloa because photos on their website and Yelp were very appealing. Checking in and appreciating the views in person was even better! The room was very modern and clean, and well air conditioned. I dined both evenings at Hula Hulas Restaurant, and that was biggest surprise. The food was excellent and the service very good. The Grand Naniloa deserves a future vacation with my wife.
Loved our stay at the Grand Naniloa! The hotel staff is wonderful, the grounds are beautiful, the ocean view from our room was gorgeous and the buffet breakfast (as well as dinner at Hula Hula) was excellent! We’ll be back!
.A week on the Big Island
We stayed a week and on our first night walked out on the rocks and saw the biggest sea turtle ever. It was amazing! It made our trip perfect from the start. The restaurant has great food and free coffee every morning.
Terrible stay at the “Grand Nailoa”
Worst stay I’ve ever had at a Hilton property the hotel has numerous maintenance items, such as bathroom door off tracks, computers not working, carpet shredded in numerous places, an totally needs painting...but beyond that the hotel staff was rude never smiles and it was like we were bothering them to get something for us.. The breakfast was horrible only two fruits one of which looked weeks old.... They offered drink coupons but you could only use the for a particular whiskey drink which was terrible When we decided to come here the front desk said the hotel had a spa... (my wife &I like to get couples massages on vacation) It did not exist at this hotel... It seemed like everything they did at this hotel was the cheapest way it could be accomplished... the pool towel are so thin they almost fall apart in your hands This hotel is not inexpensive and I am an Diamond elite member with Hilton and if I get treated this way I would hate to think how a normal guest is treated... On top of everything they charge a $30:00 per day resort fee.... for what???? I highly DO NOT recommend this hotel... Oh I also brought my concerns to the management team they don’t care....
Good hotel, lovely grounds, good breakfast and good time. They do charge a $30 resort fee though, but it comes with perks. Also a lot of fees get waived if you are a Hilton Honors member, so be sure to sign up prior to your visit.
