Classic Hawaiian-style architecture featuring open courtyards and lush gardens welcomes guests with the true spirit of aloha. All standard rooms are a spacious 500 square feet and feature a lanai with chairs and a table. Guest rooms feature rich mahogany furniture and elegant tropical decor.

There are myriad activities to choose from during your time at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa. Immerse yourself in the charm of the Garden Isle on your Kauai resort vacation. Evening brings the spectacle of the torch lighting and the tradition of luau. Whether you prefer action-packed adventures, blissful relaxation, or playing on the sandy beach while the kids take advantage of Camp Hyatt, you'll find a little piece of paradise at our luxurious Kauai resort. There is much to explore on our beautiful island. Outside the resort, activities range from helicopter tours to gallery-hopping and everything in between.

Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property uses 100% of its green waste for compost and also sends wet waste from kitchens to pig farmers for feed, which helps to reduce landfill waste considerably. Waste cooking oil is collected and processed into biodiesel fuel, while the 4,000 sq. foot on-site hydroponics farm supplies the resort's restaurants and events with approximately 120lbs. of fresh produce per week.

Landscaping is tended to with biological pest controls over harsh chemical options.

The property also utilizes heat produced by the air-conditioning system by converting the output into heat water for guestrooms and swimming pools. On top of that, nearly 60,000 sq. ft. of grass-covered roofing helps to reduce cooling needs. Guests can also enjoy cashmere-soft robes, which are made from 100% recycled bottles.

    Annual Hawaii trip. 8 nights

This is our 5th annual Hawaii trip as a family. For reference we have stayed in Park Hyatt’s and Andaz in the past. For the amount of guests poolside, not enough servers. Pool food service staff needs training on how to treat guests. We stopped 4 blue shirt people before a purple shirt person showed up. Apparently only purple shirts can take your orders. Although there are pool signs that your property will be cleared if left unattended for 60 min, I have not seen it. Chairs were not cleaned all day. No beachside chairs in this resort unless you buy cabana for the day. Besides the beach and poolside, why else would we pick Hawaii? Would not return to this resort.

    Kauai Visit

We spent 4 days at the resort in mid June2019. The property was immaculate and well maintained. The staff was very knowledgable and couteous. The views are incredible in the evenings from the terraces. The resort is reasonably located. We were able to take an easy drive to Princeville and beyond as a morning trip. The Poipu Bay Golf Course next door was convenient, challenging and readily accessable.

The Best Hotel on the Island!

My husband and I spent a lot of our time researching the best place to stay in Kauai. The Grand Hyatt is amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful. The pools are awesome. The food is fresh and very good. Cristina took great care of us! The Hyatt is very lucky to have her working for them. The chef Cary at Dondero's was amazing. Wonderful Italian food! This was our fourth time to Hawaii but our first to Kauai and The Hyatt is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. One of the things that I thought was really great about this Hotel is they give you water bottles that you can fill with fresh filtered water throughout the resort, during your stay. This saves on the usage of plastic bottles and the water stations are located everywhere. We can not wait to come back! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful!

    Prepare to be pampered

The Grand Hyatt in Poipu, Kauai was gorgeous. The staff genuinely liked being there and were genuinely happy people. We had nothing but good experience with the staff from the moment we arrived and received our leis, to the room service, to the guy who helped me make a last minute reservation to the woman who helped us check out and answered our questions... to the guy who brought our luggage to the car... to the people who brought our drinks. We were very impressed and felt like they cared about us and carried on genuine conversations with us. The water felt great, the grounds were gorgeous... all the details were perfect and exotic. We loved the entrance, the birds, the flowers. The bedrooms were a bit plain but who cares, the view more than made up for it. I'd say I loved everything about it. We hope to come back! An exceptional experience!
