Here at the moment , thoughts so far…..

We are here now people, place is beautiful , views to die for, food is tasty and more than enough choice if you are open minded and enjoy authentic dishes, staff are friendly and efficient, rooms are a good size, clean and modern, new Wyndam management are visible and appear to be assessing current operations. I would say, don’t listen to the negative reviews, if you want a good standard, authentic hotel with a fantastic location, then look no further ! I will update at the end of my trip

    A "Grand" Letdown

I really was hoping to write a good review for this place but throughout my stay it felt as if everyday I encountered more and more problems. Ultimately, the main takeaway is that this does not provide an all inclusive feel in the sense that anybody that's been to one of accustomed to. Instead, this is a 2.5 start hotel option with free food service at specific times and a limited free drink selection. I came with my family and most of us had to switch rooms immediately for different reasons (smelly linens, stains, etc). For a place that makes you wait until the actual 3pm check in time, the lack of attention to detail was vexing. From there we ran into a plethora of other problems (towel shortage, low water pressure showers, and dirty irons to name a few). The food was decent, but options are limited and you will see the same items for dinner that were there for lunch. The lack of options and authentic Jamaican flavors means you will eventually be heading out to spend some money on other food options. The staff is hit or miss, with some being extremely kind and accommodating and others being slow and forgetful with service. Of note, if you're looking for an LGBTQ friendly resort, you may want to skip this one as certain staffers have made their opinions on the matter clear. The one bright spot is the beach, which is beautiful, spacious and warm with activities such as kayaking and a glass water boat. They also have multiple pools and a hot tub. It's frustrating because the ground tease the unlimited potential that this place has, but ultimately it falls short of expectations in almost every category. I'd say unless this is one of those "fly her out on spirit" trips, spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

    Horrible hotel, the WORST experience!

Worst hotel, horrible experience. Ended up leaving after one night. No towels, shower didn't work. Food was disgusting. We were suppose to be there during Hurricane Beryl, but the hotel had no plan to keep us safe and the staff was rude when I asked about what we should do...told me to "get out of Jamaica." They refused to refund my stay. I will never stay at a Decameron hotel ever, ever again.

    1st and last time

They do not provide wash towels!!!! they told us they do not provide them anymore and they are available upon request, never received any throughout entire weekend, had to go purchase some) beach towels unavailable( we got there before they were open and they didn’t have any) Female staff in dinning areas were rude, older male bartender had attitude when we asked for drinks ( as if this isn’t a all inclusive resort) Overall I don’t think I would stay there again.. 2 stars only because the other Decameron hotel was fun with good drinks and friendly ppl.

    Staff do better.

Staff takes to long to help. Room flooded from upstairs. Called about 5 times. Took 7 hours to get help. Had to go down stair for help. When i was told clean staff were gone for the evening. Constantly lies. Finally come at 11:30pm. Picks up wet towels then tries to leave. Had to ask him to mop the water up. Food sits around for days. Bugs in my room.
