Wonderful and relaxing holiday
What a wonderful place to enjoy a holiday! From the moment you arrive until the last minute you leave this hotel shows it cares about its guests. A welcome drink, a friendly and swiftly check-in. If you need something, just ask. They will do the utmost to help you out. We got the rooms we asked for (in a quiet part, top floor and interleading). We needed extra linnen for the sofa bed? It was in our room in a wink! The aircon broke down. A single phone call and fixed a few minutes. And a phone-call from reception with apologies for the inconvenience and to ask whether it was working again. Good food (try the fish restaurant!), spacious rooms, great beach (we did not spend one second near the pool), warm sea (not turquoise but still blue enough for us), beautiful gardens. And yes, it would be nice to have free wifi throughout the whole resort. But that did not bother us. We had a wonderful holiday!
Great service and clean rooms
We loved this resort. The rooms were clean, the food amazing and the staff even better. Only drawback was the beach. It is not clear water like most of the island, but the pool was wonderful and we used that most of the week
Holiday of a lifetime ☀️
Best holiday we’ve ever had. As we got to the hotel we were greeted by bell boys who took us to our room and carried our cases there too. The pool massive with a swim up bar. And is located right on the beach. There is a lot of entertainment around the pool and the entertainment team are lovely especially MINIBOY!! The hotel is very clean, the staff work really hard to make sure you have the best holiday ever. The gardening around the hotel is beautiful and the gardeners also are working very hard all day long. The food is lovely, there is a late variety of foods and they have different food nights like Spanish, Dominican, Italian, Asian, American. After, two weeks it does get a bit repetitive but is like any usual all inclusive hotel. The hotel room was really nice, it was spacious and it was in a great location right on the beach, we looked out the balcony and we were two metres from the beach!! There was lots to do, like different activities and that and lots to do for the kids. You definitely need at least two weeks there!! I would rate it 10/10 !! Definitely a 5*
Thank you very much for the fantastic vacation! I enjoyed every single moment of it ! It was really amazing ! And firstly because of the entertainment team ! The guys are very friendly, amusing, responsive , do their best to make everyone happy ! Benisio ( Wiki Wiki) is so active , energetic, professional at all the activities , always smiling , cheerful and helpful ! Ronald , mini Pop are very nice , funny and they also make all people take part in the games , dancing and others ! The service is excellent! Tasty food , clean rooms , beach , warm sea , wonderful night shows ! Everything is great ! The atmosphere is so good ! Many thanks to you !!! I’ll definitely come back!)
Grand Bahia Principe La Romana
I don’t know what kind of imb..le chose this place for a hotel...there’s a river near by that brings mud to the lagoon here, water isn’t clear, unless you only sit in the pool all the time. Why in the world I pay big bucks to fly here to swim in the pool ? Property by itself is nice, rooms are nice too, not too fancy, but not too bad too, food choices is ok, but management asking for the trouble by keeping food barely warm in a buffet, not hot enough to be safe. Not to mention they removed all hard liquor from mini bars because people dying from tainted alcohol here(sounds stupid, but I brought my hard liquor with me, $50 for two one liter bottles of vodka is cheap insurance to stay alive). Good thing there’s no sand fleas or mosquitos here, but I don’t show up early or late on the beach. Conclusion is: property and food is ok, but because ocean is muddy- I will not return.
