Airconditioner was terrible. Noisy as there was light all the way around the front door we had to stuff towels in door to help with pool noise and crying screaming babies. Beach is great location is nice. Coming from a week at a Hilton property was very upsetting.
The food was great and excellent service! The waiter Armando from the taqueria was very kind and quick. Handled everything really smooth. Everything was perfect. I will come back to enjoy another beautiful night!
A small piece of HEAVEN
Visited Cancun and we stayed at the Flamingo, the hotel is not has fancy has some of the other beach front properties BUT made up for that in customer service!! Our room was very clean as well as the hotel. The food is okay BUT it's free so why complain and Hector who always greeted us at breakfast with a smile made it all the much better. Hector is very vigilant in what his guest needs are and we never really had to ask for things, he just seem to know what we needed and it would appear at our table, I do highly suggest to ask to be seated in his area. The beach the hotel sits on is nice and the cabana service is out of this world good!! Over all I would love to return to this hotel sooner than later.
Amazing 2 week stay at Flamingo
We have just returned from a 2 weeks all inclusive holiday at flamingo and we absolutely loved it. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the hotel was spotless throughout. The food was fantastic with variety and the restaurant manager Richard organised food for my day trips to cater for my allergy. We booked 10 excursions with Miguel who is the onsite tour operator and not only did he save us money but he helped upgrade us to VIP on our nights out which was a huge bonus. Unlike European holidays I never had to queue for a drink and there was always space around the pools and no-one was fighting over a sun lounger. The waiting staff were lovely they worked hard and Antonio served us most mornings at breakfast and was so polite and made us feel like royalty. The hotel was so relaxed and calming. You are a 15-20 minute walk from the nightlife and bars however you can catch the city bus outside for $1 which made life simple. We hired a car for 2 days and the hotel staff parked it for us and brought it outside reception as and when we wanted it which was very kind. The only minor I have to say is the air conditioning is extremely cold in reception and the indoor bar which could have been turned down a notch. The onsite massage staff were also very friendly and professional. I have visited other hotels in Mexico and they are very over crowded but if you want a relaxing friendly hotel with amazing cocktails then Flamingo is the one. We would return in a heart beat, thanks for a wonderful stay :)
Amazing Staff and Service
My sister and I spent 6 nights at the hotel. I had won the trip, so we didn’t get to choose the hotel and prior to our visit we had read many mixed reviews. Overall, we had a good experience and would go back. The staff was the best part of our experience. We loved the location in the hotel zone, we either walked or paid one American dollar to ride the bus. The stores and Flamingo mall were right across from the hotel which was very convenient. The hotel cleanliness was good. The WIFI could have been better but we were just glad it worked. One worry we had before our trip were the reviews on the food at the resort. We are both fairly picky eaters and tend to stick with eating American food. Aside from breakfast we did not like the buffet. The snacks from Las Palmas Snack and Pool bar had good fries and nachos. This snack bar also had some of our favorite staff members, Alejandro and Louis! Alejandro was always super friendly and even personally delivered our room service. The snack bar we ate at everyday was Don Roberto’s Bar and Pizza, the calzones were our favorite and Freddy and Tomas were some of are other favorite staff members. We went to Albatross restaurant a few times for dinner which in included in the all-inclusive you just need to make a reservation. They have steak and really good desserts. The hotel lobby bar is fun, and Javier is always on top of things! The one downside of the Flamingo is the lack of nightlife at the actual hotel, the pool bars close at 6pm and the lobby bar closes at 12am. We did go to Coco Bongo one night, which the shows were cool but personally we did not think it was worth the money, it was crowded, and the waiters were rude. However, Senior Frogs was amazing! We went the night before we left and had wished we went sooner! At Senior Frogs the staff is super fun and the service is great. It is definitely worth going for the two-hour open bar and if you’re looking for a fun, party bar.
