Great time
Overall a great stay. Some standard minor issues but the food was good and you really go to this resort for the beach as it is pretty calm compared to other areas. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a small resort overall so you aren't trekking around for restaurants and the gym.

Delicious Flavors, Memorable Moments
The resort offers a nice getaway with beautiful views and decent amenities. However, the service was a bit inconsistent, which affected our overall experience. The food was good, but not exceptional. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a relaxing vacation, just don’t expect perfection.

Don’t stay!
The only thing this hotel has going for them is the location on probably one of the nicest beach areas in the hotel area. The only reason we chose this hotel was because of the kids friendly option which isn’t typically offered by most of the hotels in Cancun. The hotel is in dire need of renovations and updates. The hotel looks like it belongs to the 80’s and I cannot understand why they can’t modernize the property to compete with neighbouring resorts. There is absolutely no sense of luxury at this hotel nor do you feel pampered as a “preferred” guest. We paid for the preferred package and were quite disappointed with the poor quality drinks at the preferred bars. In addition, all of the cocktails were extremely sweet and weak! It was like drinking simple syrup all the time. We actually had to leave the property to get a good margarita at the mall! No good scotch, no known wines. No sense in paying for preferred if the alcohol is such low quality. We had 2 preferred rooms and one regular premium room and the persons at the regular room had literally everything we got including the cheap champagne that was “gifted” to us for which we had to sign for upon receipt as a preferred guest. The food at this hotel was absolutely horrible, even at the buffet. The options are quite limited and the food is not seasoned properly but overpowered with salt! The tacos were not even tasty and you’d expect better for a Mexican hotel. Now until the rooms. The door to our room was not functional. The key card worked but the door lock was broken. We informed housekeeping and they were aware of it as it has been broken for a while. We had to literally swipe our card at least 5 times before the door opened. The phone in the room also did not work so we could not contact front desk, housekeeping or room service. All this for a preferred room. We were yelled at one evening for taking food from the buffet to our room despite not having the option to call room service. They literally took our plates of food away from us and treated us like we were criminals for taking the food out. When we went to the lobby to ask what our options were to get room service if our phone was not working, they told us to come to the lobby every time. How stupid! Definitely won’t be staying here again nor do I recommend it to anyone!

First Cancun experience
Overall a very good experience. Rough start with the room but after having maintenance come in it was alright. This is a 4 star resort with a 5 star staff. We had a Premium Balcony room oceanfront and it was very nice with a stellar view. BEST BEACH, SAND, AND WATER. Very good smaller resort experience. We will return.

Look elsewhere if you need a toilet
There was a leak in our room above the toilet where it dripped on your head when you went to the bathroom. Seemed it was toilet in room above leaking on us. Gross. Maintenance came twice but it wasn’t fixed. Then giant pain with poor communication in asking to be switched to different room. Staff at pool and restaurants were friendly. Some were wonderful. Based on room experience I recommend using great caution prior to booking.
