Excellent Hotel
We have just returned from 10 days at Dreams Hotel. We were in a Preferred Club Room on half-board. The hotel is excellent. One of the best we have stayed in. The staff all go the extra mile and always have a smile on their face. Rooms are quite spacious. Beds are enormous, A bit firm for us but you that's just personal taste. There are four main pools, plus two small additional pools, probably intended for children, at the main pool area. There were always lots of sunbeds, although our weather wasn't great, it was warm but quite windy, so the pool areas weren't very busy. Breakfast in the Preferred Club Area could not be faulted. Lots of choice and eggs and crepes cooked as required. We ate in the main buffet most evenings. Again the food was excellent. Lots of variety and fish and meat being cooked order. It was a shame that the weather was too cool in the evenings to eat outside, as buffet restaurants always feel like your are eating in a department store dining room, but this is not the hotel's fault. Had the weather been warmer we would have eaten out more. Evening entertainment was provided in the main bar for one hour (9.30 - 10.30) every evening and we thought all the acts were top class. The situation of the hotel is ideal. A 15 minute walk one way to the harbour and 10 minutes the other way to the marina. In conclusion we had a fab holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will return.

Great relaxing stay. I will be back
I stayed B&B in preferred club double room ( solo occupancy) and couldn't fault the experience. The room was spacious with extremely large bed ( even if I wasn't travelling alone the bed would have been big). Balcony ( room 2016) was large and got the sun in late afternoon/evening which was great. View of sea and islands and main pool. Ground floor . Very quiet at night. Shower and toiletries were excellent. Did find bug, aroach, in bathroom one night but it's a hot country so expect that. Free mini bar was restocked by 5pm every day which was handy. Coffee pod machine in room also very good. As preferred club guest I eat my breakfast in the preferred club restaurant. The staff were very attentive with the juice and coffee and the food selection was fabulous. I eat outside which was lovely . I had few drinks at bars and prices very good. I also used the preferred club pools, I preferred the adult only one, the sugar reef. Plenty of choice for sunbeds. But all the pools looked nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds. I liked the preferred lounge because even though I was B&B I could get water, pop and a sandwich etc. Always fully stocked when I went and staff on hand to tidy up. I only eat breakfast in the hotel as I was B&B and like to try local restaurants. I found a great tapas restaurant in main shopping street , La Cuadra and had great canarian rabbit stew at a sea front restaurant. I saw a little bit of the evening entertainment when I was either leaving hotel for dinner or coming back and felt it was poor but I didn't come to hotel for the entertainment so I didn't mind. Some near by bars had live music Location great as you can get out onto seafront and walk to marina area and the castel or playa blanca and playa flamingo . Or can go out of reception and along road to playa blanca main street and the port area for ferries. Plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance at playa blanca or marina . Overall hotel clean, relaxing and well run. I found the app very handy, easy to use and full of information. I loved my relaxing. 5 night stay. I will be back for a longer stay

A lovely stylish hotel.
We had a week away at this stylish hotel in early March 2025, and found the whole experience from the moment we stepped off of our transfer bus to the moment we stepped back on to return to the Airport excellent. All the staff were friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The whole premises was kept spotlessly clean, and there was plenty of seating inside and a lot of sun beds were available outside. Our room had a walk-in shower and a separate toilet, which suited us fine. In any evening we had a choice of two a-la-carte restaurants and the buffet, all without having to book. We never found a reason to go for the Preferred option. There is also a lovely Coffee Lounge there which also serves wonderful pastries.

An unforgettable experience
From the second we arrived we were greeted with warmth and exceptional customer service. The care and attention that is shown throughout the hotel is exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to provide an amazing environment for their customers. I would especially like to thank Moha for making our stay so special. His attention to detail made an already perfect stay a unforgettable one. Thank you Dreams Lanzarote Playa Darada. We will definitely be back.

Nice hotel but let down by below par food
Staff were all great. Nice hotel, lovely rooms, plenty of sun beds, good location. Entertainment average. Pretty much ticks all the boxes apart from the food. Been to a lot of AI hotels in the Canaries and buffet food is generally fine/average so I don't have high expectations of their buffets but they have all been generally good enough. Food temperature is always a problem, rarely piping hot, so come to expect that also. However at Dreams, much of food is luke warm, worryingly that applies to meats not just vegetables. Whether this is due to inadequacies in the kitchen or their ability to keep food warm when on the buffet, probably a bit of both. Another thing I noticed was a complete lack of staff checking the food regularly which I have noticed is the norm at other hotels. On the last day the baked beans were basically cold and we were there just after it opened (sausages were not much better). So rather than do nothing, I told a waiting staff member. She told the kitchen who said they would fix the beans. The fix was a chef feeling the side of the baked beans pot and giving it a stir ( I had already done this, the whole contents were cold). So basically, you point out a problem and nothing gets done in the buffet. When we finished we checked the beans one last time, still cold. I have sent a complaint about this to the Hyatt group head office as looking at other reviews here, this has been mentioned on numerous occasions and the hotel are doing nothing about it. Real shame as otherwise the hotel is nice, but won't be back.
