    OUR WEDDING WAS A DREAM!

    Our Wedding: My husband and I got married at the resort on June 14, 2019. If you are thinking about having your wedding here, DO IT. Melissa was an incredible coordinator: SO helpful, patient, and attentive. Our meeting with her to finalize everything was wonderful - it put all my anxiety at ease. The day of the wedding was seamless and so perfectly gorgeous! Melissa even added in some last minute details that I requested without hesitation and set everything up exactly how I pictured it. The DJ was so much fun and the reception dinner was delicious. The banquet staff had amazing service and the photographers/videographers were incredible. We LOVE our pictures! The photographers expedited our photo album for us since we were leaving a couple of days after. It turned out incredible. Again, everyone was SO nice and helpful - I can't say that enough. Our guests had so much fun and everything was like a dream. It was better than we both had imagined. THANK YOU, MELISSA AND ALL THE WEDDING STAFF! The Resort: From the moment we arrived at the airport, the shuttle service (Olympus Tours) was very professional and made me feel safe immediately. Upon arrival to the gorgeous Hilton La Romana resort, we were treated like royalty. You can tell that everyone at this resort genuinely LOVES their job. Everyone was so nice and helpful, and even helped us practice Spanish. Shout out to Alexander Hernandez and Berenice - you were amazing! Also, our butler staff: (The Dannys) were so sweet and helpful! The resort was nice and quiet - running as an adult only resort at the time (which was super nice). My husband and I also had a relaxing massage at the spa - which was very, very nice. Our room was beautiful, overlooking our wedding venue and the ocean. I cannot wait to come back next year to see the wonderful renovations! If I could give 6 stars, I would! Staff of Hilton La Romana - you have my heart!

    We had a great stay

    We had a wonderful time at the Hilton La Romana. The staff were all friendly, the ground beautiful and the rooms cute, neat and clean. There was a smell to the rooms that was pretty overpowering. I don't know if it was their cleaning supplies or disinfectant but took a bit to get used to. The maid did a great job every day and used bougainvillea flowers to made a small surprise each day. Lots of bottled water available as a mater of fact they gave us a case so we didn't have to keep getting more. The BB&C drink was delicious and the food was fine. I was only blown away by a few items on the menu but loved having the option of the buffet or several specialty restaurants. Would go back in a heartbeat once the DR gets whatever it is straightened out as to why so many Americans are dying there. Oh and definitely fly into and out of Punta Cana airport and not Santo Domingo. They are worlds apart.

    AMAZING!

    We stayed here for a week for a friends wedding that was on the property. Everything, especially the staff, was incredible. We were on the premium preferred side of the resort so we had access to the Club. Victor Val inside the club was the absolute BEST. He always had a huge smile on his face and was very attentive to our needs before we even had to ask for something. I really want to learn Spanish so everyday he would answer my questions and reach me new words and sayings. The food was delicious and the property was gorgeous. The water is crystal clear and breathtaking. The staff on the beach is wonderful! Would definitely recommend this resort and can’t wait to come back! Make sure you find Victor and give him a high five cause he is AMAZING!

    The staff is extremely friendly. How can someone smile so much.Emelia and Carmen are the best bartender/ servers. They never stop smiling. Bien at the main buffet is the same. Dude never stops smiling. So thanks for a great time. All the faciltiy. Gracious

    Another Amazing Vacation in La Romana

    My husband and I returned from Hilton La Romana a few days ago and I'm already eager to go back. This was our second time visiting this resort. We stayed here about 2 years ago when it was still owned by Dreams and we were delighted that the hotel and the service were as fantastic as we remember. We have stayed at over 10 different all-inclusive resorts between Mexico and the Dominican Republic as we like to try new places and hands down this resort is the best. Currently the resort is being renovated which meant that some areas were blocked off and unusable but that did not detract whatsoever from the overall experience and in fact may have made it better. The occupancy at this hotel is very low right now which meant that there were plenty of places to sit by the pool, on the beach and at the restaurants. On more than one occasion I was the only person in the pool for hours at a time. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere this is definitely the place to go. If you're looking for a place with a lot of people you might want to wait until the renovations are complete. The number one thing that makes this resort outstanding are the people. From the moment we arrived the staff bent over backwards to make sure that they exceeded all of our expectations. Within an hour of checking in we had the pleasure of meeting Alexander Hernandez who is one of the super stars of this resort. After our first conversation with him it was like meeting an old friend and we looked forward to seeing him daily. No matter where we were if he saw us he always took the time to make sure we were happy and that we never went thirsty. What also impressed me about him was the amount of pride he had not only for his work and Hilton but also for his country. He is by far one of the best people I have ever met and I look forward to seeing him the next time we travel here. There were several other people who also stood out and I would be remiss if I didn't mention them. Eddy Murphy, Pablo Picasso and Beyoncé were 3 of the hardest working people at Hilton and they are incredibly talented. The three of them worked tirelessly to get people involved in the various activities and then at night performed in the various shows. My husband and I don't typically participate the group activities arranged at all-inclusive resorts(AKA we have never done this) but on this trip we tried every one. We had a blast doing it and I can't thank this team of entertainers enough for getting us involved. Three more people who deserve special recognition are: -Bienvenido at the buffet who in addition to giving exceptional service has the best smile and the best attitude -Jose Rodriguez at the beach who makes a great Jose Especial and was super attentive -Edwin Cedario at the pool bar who was always happy to see us and keep our glasses full. Really everyone was amazing and they are the #1 reason I will go back. Now on to the food. It's delicious. You don't need to make a reservation at any of the restaurants and no matter where you eat the food is fantastic. I really enjoyed the French restaurant, especially the chocolate volcano for dessert. I also really liked the abundance of fish. I'm not a meat eater but I do eat fish and this resort had an abundance of it. It also had several types of chicken, pork, etc. Basically plan on joining weight watchers when you return because the food is so good you will eat a lot. Drinks- get the passion fruit mojito. If you like frozen drinks be sure to bring a cooler mug with a lid. They do not use straws at this resort to protect the wildlife which is great but makes drinking a frozen beverage difficult. If the beach and pool are important to you then again you have picked a winning resort. Both are exceptional and the water in the Caribbean Sea was extremely inviting. Several areas in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea are experiencing a seaweed problem. Fortunately this place is not. It is breathtaking and there are more than enough chairs in the sun and shade for everyone. There are also a few pelicans who hang around this area and they provide some natural entertainment when they go fishing. With regards to the room ours definitely needed some work. I'm not going to dwell on this as the resort is in the process of renovating so they are already aware of this and I spent little to no time in the room anyway so it wasn't a big deal. What I will say is that the cleaning crew did an awesome job and I appreciated that they swapped out my used towels 2 times a day. Last but not least- the preferred club. The first time we visited this resort we did the preferred club which I felt was 100% worth it. This time we didn't sign up for it and I think we made the right choice. The preferred club does offer some perks and when the hotel renovations are complete it will be worth it to upgrade. Until then I would suggest booking the resort without it. You can always upgrade at any point during your stay and the staff is happy to show you around and give you a tour of the preferred area. I can't say enough great things about this place and the people who work here. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this is it.
