Overall the resort offered a beautiful beach, several pools and amazing weather.
The resort is nice, but quite dated. I did like that is was small and easy to get around. Not enough public bathrooms close to beach and pools. Minor repairs are needed throughout. There is not enough shade and chairs either around the pools or beach, and in the lobby. The quality of the food is only average, not much of a varying selection daily. Some of the servers go above and beyond, while others are lacking. The temperatures were very hot every day which was amazing, but not enough shaded areas to sit outside. The rooms were cleaned well every day, and turn down service was nice too.

Relaxation and enjoyment at its best!
The resort has six swimming pools and the three facing the beach/ ocean are awesome. The beach at this resort is the best one. The premises could use a revamping and upgrade. All, I mean all the staff are very hospitality, friendly, professional and helpful.

A Fantastic Holiday in Huatulco.
We have just returned to our Vancouver Island February climate from a wonderful twelve days at Dreams.Huatulco is a beautiful region of Oxaca . Not yet too crowded and hopefully will not become so as it is surrounded by National Park . The coast line includes several long bays and the country behind the coast is impresive with the Sierra Madre Mountains . Dreams was great. The staff are wonderful seemingly cheerful and always ( apparently) happy to help me with my elementary but workin g Spanish. The beach is clean and safe, though there is a slight undertow when going in but which is not felt after the firs fifteen feet or so . Pools are plentiful for families, children and adults only. As with many resorts there is some competition for preferred poolside seats.Restaurants inlude a cheerful Asian, the Portofino (Italian ambience and menu) a poolside grill and Seafood restaurant and the large buffet. We enjoyed Cocos the quiet and cool coffee bar where a variety of sandwiches and pastries were served together with all manner of coffee and tea beverages and some ice cream. This was open for 24 hours. Entertainments were excellent but repeated during the second week " Special days include Valentines and Superbowl! Red rose in bedrooms for Valentines. I enjoyed a daily Spanish lesson expertly handled by Alnair and Gabriel! The rooms were comfortable with plenty of amenities and all seemed to have a view of beach and pools. We did not stay in Preferred rooms however these seemed to overlook a central plaza which at times could be a bit noisy I suspect. I wonder weather the extra cost is worth it. Our holiday was arranged by West Jet Vacations and seemed to offer a very good value compared with booking flight and hotel separately. Maxi Tours provided some well managed local tours (Sandra is excellent local representative) La Crucecita and severaother costal towns and villages are well worth visiting as are The Magic Waterfalls and a boat trip along the Coast seeing whales, dolppins , snorkeling facilities and beaches to die for. A great resort vacation.

Relaxing with variety of activities
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and responsive. Food at ala carte restaurants is very good where buffet food would benefit from variety and more choice. I appreciate no use of bracelets, no need for reservations at restaurants and no cards for towels (you can ask for more than one per person). Nad at archery, Dianne at Pilates, Eucario at sailing, Eddie at adult pool and Primi are superb in what they do. The beach area would benefit from more and better serviced loungers and from more umbrellas/shade. The access to the water and ocean were excellent with snorkeling near by. There is an app that provides you with a lot of good information about activities and amenities. We booked via Struck by Travel with Irena Struk and are extremely satisfied. I highly recommend her service.
