Cozumel Dreaming
This was the first part of our 2 week vacation in Mexico, where we brought friends and family to Dreams Cape Cozumel. It was our second trip to Cozumel, so we knew what to expect with the travel to get there. This 15 hour trip from Canada includes cars , planes , ferries and other transfers. Unfortunately, we did not get our regular UVC welcome as we arrived after their normal hours of business, but the hotel staff checked us in with only one glitch. We had booked an ocean front king and received an ocean front double which was not rectified until the fifth day of our vacation. The rest of our party received their rooms in fairly good repair, one room did not have an operating T.V. and there were elevator problems within the whole hotel. Otherwise, this location is quite beautiful with the best snorkeling from the beach . Being UVC preferred club members , we were able to utilize multiple restaurants in the Dreams, Sunscape properties. Olio was our favorite restaurant to go to at Dreams, where Angel made sure we had all that was required for a fabulous meal. Bordeaux remains our favorite at Secrets and we were lucky enough to get Isreal to serve us in the wine room again as it was in 2022. He even surprised us with a flambe' dessert. Windows and Oceana with excellent service from Manuel and Miguel were also amazing. We generally do not participate in all the activities at the pool, but joined in as a family for water aerobics, trivia and more this trip. Aaron and Enrique led the entertainment with great enthusiasm and energy which we loved. Finally, we would like to mention Jesus Quiroz... he helped us with our luggage and provided rides for us as mobility for one of our party was not the great. He was one of the stars on the trip as a go to for bellboy services. Also Eduardo (Lulo) at the World Cafe, our lobby bartender Javier, Jesus and Wendy for poolside service were also the BEST!

Dreams Entertainment
Resort was extremely nice, and the entertainment team was absolutely amazing, very engaging very fun. Aaron and Enrique did an amazing job and was the highlight of the resort for me. From playin guess the songs to darts, singing karaoke and volley ball, the whole entertainment team was amazing

3rd time was not the charm
This was the 3rd trip here. Usually the 3rd time is the charm but this time it was average at best. The scenery was great!!! But everything else was mediocre at best. It's hard to enjoy your swim out pool when other people are using it or relax in your room when the air conditioner is leaking on the floor and housekeeping only shows up twice during the week long stay.

Worst customer service
This has been one of the most traumatic experiences I've had in my life. The place was nice, the food was not great considering you are in Mexico and food should be amazing, but the worst part was the overall customer service experience. First of all, we checked the weather before arriving and it was all going to be nice and sunny. While we were on our vacation Hurricane Helene started to form, but we didn't get any communication from the hotel. They also failed to alert their guests that the ferry service was getting suspended, this left us stranded in the island. When asked if we could stay one more night while the worst of the storm passed, and while we figured out how to get out (all flights were sold out that day) they told us that we couldn't because from that day on they were a shelter for their guests. Hello... we hadn't checked out yet! we were guests! so they left us without a place to stay in the middle of a hurricane! we managed to get out of the island before it arrived, but everything could have been avoided with a better communication from the hotel and better accommodations for guests facing complications due to it.

Would not recommend.
The bed was okay. Door wouldn’t close correctly. Water stunk. Service was crappy couldn’t check in until after 4 waited in lobby for 2 hours. The food was definitely below average. Better food in town. Booked a spa and mimosa in room with reservation and did not receive neither one. Waiting on refund currently doubt I will receive it. It was wrote on a piece of paper. Overall wouldn’t recommend. Would definitely look elsewhere and read reviews!! I didn’t listen to the reviews saw some bad and figured I would give it a try. Because there’s always those that are hard to please but I was definitely wrong on this one.
