Mar 23, 2025Great, small, family friendly hotel
We just got back from a 7 day vacation to Dreams Aventuras. We had a great time. Small resort but perfect for our family with small kids. We also loved being able to go into the marina for something different. We enjoyed World Cafe (buffet) for breakfast everyday, and we ate at Portofino twice and Seaside Grille twice. We liked being at the main pool which was nice and close to the beach. Our girls, ages 4 and 6, loved going to the Explorer's Club. We highly recommend this resort to other families with young children.

Mar 22, 2025Not a 4 1/2 resort, more like a 3.
No alcohol in the drinks at the pool bar. Poor service. Beach furniture not as advertised and in poor condition. Draft beer only, not what is expected from a 4 1/2 star resort. Very disappointed in this resort. Our best vacation days were those spent off resort. Could not get a table at the beach fire show dinner as the resort was holding many tables for preferred guests.

10/10 would recommend
We had a beautiful stay. Dreams was the perfect destination for my family. The resort is beautiful and has so many options for food and activities. The app keeps you updated with everything you need to know. The beach was beautiful and the sea wall created a relaxing environment. There were even small rock pools over by one of the far bars and the waves would crash in. It was beautiful. Outside the resort was a resort community full of more things to do, restaurants (not part of your all inclusive stay), and a marina where we saw a HUGE spotted ray and dolphins!! I am so pleased and we will definitely be back. *An added bonus Xcaret parks was only 20 minutes away. This was the one excursion we had previously booked so that was convenient and also AWESOME.

I've been to many Dreams resorts through UVC. This one definitely isn't a favorite. The food and service are lacking for sure. Room was fine. Met our needs well. There was not one day could I lay by the pool and get some sun. Even at 8am, towels were on all the chairs. I'm not sure if guests were doing it, or the staff. Most were never even laid in all day. Very disappointing. Usually the food is great, but the menu choices were lacking as well as the flavor and quality of the food at this Dreams location. On a bright note, the wedding we attended there was beautiful. That was the most important part. Other than that, I don't think we would rush back to this resort. Not horrible, but not great either.

Small Dreams resort, but still felt nice. Area felt safe, marina nearby was fun. Lots of scheduled activities but we didn’t participate in many. Activities Staff was friendly & had lots of energy! Not enough pool/beach chairs. Bartenders didn’t seem very happy to be there, not personable (except Marco at lobby bar- very nice, great espresso martini!) Beds were very comfortable, spacious rooms. Beach is pretty but not a walk able beach and very large rocks in swimming area. Japanese restaurant was delicious, rest were okay. Buffet was small & not good. We ate dinner away from resort 4 of 7 nights of our visit. Overall, it was a decent stay. If we had smaller children, it would have been a perfect place to stay. No major complaints but likely would not book at this Dreams again.
