Could be much better
Definitely not worth the price. Want hand towels or shower mat? You will never get them. The Nespresso, if and when you get the supplies, will never work correctly. The prices for food and coffee in the coffee/sandwich shop are extremely high and the service horrible. A smile and thank you go a long way especially with the long lines. Elevators are really slow and you can push buttons over and over and they will unlight. Enjoy the ride. The peak-a-boo bathroom shutters are great if you are alone, but with a roommate are a bad idea. Really dark at night if you want to stroll on the beach. Don't fall. Some rooms have access to a balcony but they are locked. Creepy when someone is out there. Hot water in shower is a guessing game.
Will never come back
I Check in on a Saturday, and The front desk staff checked me in a room that had people already inside. TWICE! It’s safe to say I will never come back to the hotel again...😡😡😡 and when I spoke to someone from the front desk and told her about this. She show no concern at all
My Luxury Stay for a Family Member's 50th Birthday Celebration/Vacation
Beyond exclusive.. We gathered as a family. Me and My Fiance were truly wowed and will return very soon. Our choice of room was spot on and the deck along with the amount of rooming we had was nothing less than amazing. I didn't want to leave. There were things we didn't have an opportunity to take part in that were a part of the resort as our schedule of events was full
Decent Resort with some hits and misses
So I categorized The Diplomat at a Very Good because overall it really was this way. Like with everything else there are areas of opportunity though I'm going to showcase the best parts first: Great Location Beautiful Resort Check In Day was flawless and with good service ( please hold on this one) Pools are amazing Hotel Bars are good Local on site coffee house/deli was good Local on site canteen was also good Housekeeping was ON IT Room was very nice Bartenders are AMAZING at the Playa bar closest to the beach. The Hotel Bar closer to the front desk doesn't serve food drink only - FYI. The Diplomat Prime steakhouse is FANTASTIC service included Areas of opportunity: We didn't get our e-invoice nor one slipped under our door. I called upon returning back to Columbus and could BARELY FINISH MY SENTENCE when Cathy who answered my guest services call cut me off to tell me there was no email on file. Um ok - shouldn't that have been completed upon check in? How is that the guest's fault? Second topic with no-fun no-service Cathy when I asked about getting credit for our hotel stay via Hilton Honors as we're Diamond members she ONCE AGAIN CUTS ME OFF to tell me as we booked via third party (Allegiant) that's not her problem. Interesting. No solve no context no potential solution on how to fix. Guest services and she was not able to assist. Unacceptable. Long story short we're working through the Diamond Desk directly though this experience was the last one of this resort and the one that lingers. Way to go Cathy. Housekeeping got a rave review because that team gets in and gets it all done early. VERY impressive staff. What was interesting was closer to the end of our stay we received less and less towels with every visit. Not sure how or why. There were two of us and we would receive one set replenished vs. that for two guests. Guessing with the holiday more were coming in and they needed to be mindful of resources. Still, we called and they delivered. Overall, I'd go again as I liked the resort and overall it was a really good property. Focus on the positive.
