Worst staying of my life
The hotel looks amazing from the outside. We arrive maybe 3 hours before the check in time believing that they were going to give us our room earlier after a very long trip.. and they make us wait in the lobby without AC for 3 hours, it was crazy hot, my wife was pregnant, we were very tired, i tried to explain this to the staff but they didn't help... Then when we finally got our room, we find out it was a very old and ugly room... They gave us a twin room with small beds and we were so tired that we just take the room, we were not going to wait for 3 more hours to change room... Then when we were trying to enjoy the beach, pool and hotel there were these sellers who were soooooo annoying, the first thing i did when they approach us was to tell them that we were not interested but they didn't care, they were all day talking to us, trying to sell us some kind of subscription to the Hotel AND WE DIDN'T WANT IT, AND WE TOLD THEM WE DIDN'T WANT IT AND THEY JUST KEEP TRYING TO SELL US THE SUBSCRIPTION. I was so tired of these guys that i just wanted to be in my room watching some netflix... But they don't offer wifi, there is just a small tv probably from the 90's. And the food, omg the food... I was hopping to try some delicious traditional colombian food, but that was just... I dont know how to describe it... Just awful... So no wifi, no respectable tv, very rude staff, very old ugly rooms, annoying salesman everywhere, bad food: Worst vacation experience of my life... some salesman told me is the best hotel in Colombia but i really have to disagree... it has a lot of potential, but they really need to improve a lot of things.
We were travelling from Canada! Unfortunately our experience wasn’t good :( there was around 4 different situations that made us feel uncomfortable. The reception staff Doesn’t have good Customer service. NO LGBT friendly. A guy in the Italian restaurant and a girl in the towels area were super rude with us. I can’t recommend at this time. The management team doesn’t work well. :/
Family time with grandparents
The reception staff were super rude. Do not arrived before the checking time otherwise you have to wait in the lobby( horribly hot) for few hours because you are not allow to use the hotel facilities. Until we got upset they didn’t change their attitude. Left a very bad first impression. The chairs are very uncomfortable. The worst day of our holidays.
Stayed at this resort for a week, most of The personnel is very friendly however we had a situation where lunch , which is buffet style, was supposed to be over at 3:00 and we got there at 2:30 and everything was already picked up... we asked a couple of the workers and they said it was over at 2:30 with was not true as I had just arrived the night before & was given a schedule showing 3:00 as the end of lunch....after complaining one of the Waiters went to the kitchen & brought out some fish & salad..... so my recommendation will be to get there early for your meals, tip your waiter the diary day & they will treat you well the rest of your stay....
Just got back from our beautiful trip to Decameron Barú... The views, beach, pools, food, entertainment and ballet were phenomenal. The "Animation Wow" staff with Frijolito, Larry, José, Mini, Lalis and Jefferson were amongst our favorite parts of the trip, always making sure there was no dull moment. There were different activities and shows every day at different times suitable for all members of the family. We were able to plot the days accordingly to enjoy the resort to the fullest, in conformity to our needs. Some of the resort staff, such as reception, is in need of customer service training, but other reviews have covered that subject and there's no need to rehash. All in all, every member of my family agreed we would definitely return to this resort and were sad to leave.
