    Family Vacation to Crown Club

    Greatly pleased with our stay overall. This is a very family friendly hotel! Great for kids & families. This has been our 2nd time here & our experience was even better this time. Suyen our concierge was exceptional!!! She was quick to tend to our needs & very responsive. She made sure our stay was pleasant & was very welcoming. Made us feel like family. Jesus the bell boy is extremely nice! Very welcoming & full of energy. He greeted us when we arrived & we had the pleasure of saying goodbye on our departure. Food at the Palapa is delicious! Although some of it does not look appetizing it is very good. Yaneli & Marely are exceptional waitresses!! Very accommodating & attentive. Never had to wait for a table & we were a party of 13. The 2 waiters at the main pools were extremely helpful & attentive. Would come around frequently to ask if we needed anything. Leon at Crown Club was extremely outgoing, polite & also attentive. Made sure we never had an empty glass which was very much appreciated. The rooms can use an upgrade & the Collage could be improved with more games & a better reservation system. However, we greatly enjoyed our stay!

    Made us want to come back!

    We stayed here for 3 days just to get away from a crazy week we had. I never heard of this chain of hotels/resorts. Although it was my first time staying here, i definitely would book it again if I travel to Cancun. Front desk staff was very efficient and friendly. The highlight of our stay was the club lounge. The concierge, who worked in the club lounge was fantastic. I completely forgot her name. I wish I would have written it down. She was one amazing ambassador for this resort. She really loved her job and it showed. She took time to talk to every guest who came in. We loved her, because there were no sale pitch nor any one cramming information to us about becoming a member. She simply said If you would like information. She continued to greet us every day and made time to speak with us about the resort. She really made us want to find out more if we would have had time. The specialty restaurants were great as well, but some were not open when we were there. Lots of fi. activities and amazing staff.

    Trouble in Paradise

    Not sure where to begin with the review of this hotel. We booked through Costco as part of a package. We booked a standard plus room with trundle bed and 1 king size bed for 2 kids and 2 adults. We decided we needed to upgrade for more space and comfort since we’d be staying for 5 nights. We inquired and paid $500 for an upgrade to a family suite (1016) which was unfortunately directly across from the discotheque which operates from 10-1am. If you are with your kids, this is Not the room for you! Noise levels too high. The safe in the room was broken but a staff member came in to “fix” it which I didn’t find fishy at all until $55 came up missing out of it. Then the motor for the air conditioner blew out, but before it blew out the noise it was cranking out was unbearable. A crew came in at 1:30am(mind you after a long day of travel with 2 kids) to try to fix the issue. We ended up sleeping without air that night. The next day the staff tried to move us to Room 1007 where the sewage runs directly underneath and the mold smell was overwhelming! That would be going from bad to worse. We asked that if the motor could be fixed, we’d stay in our room. Fortunately, they were able to replace the motor. We had to request housekeeping at least 6 times one day because we needed towels, etc and after a day of sunning, swimming and adventure, you want to come back to a nice clean room. … the buffet food and restaurants were not good. We resorted to eating from GoMart which is equivalent to 7/11 and who does that?! We did the buffet only do the kids could eat ice cream. There was a staff screw up with the lobster dinner (which I gave 24 hours notice for) that I had to work out and was embarrassed and turned away from the lousy steak house as a result. The funny thing is the lobster wasn’t the issue, we were trying to find ways to burn up resort credit so getting the lobster for my lobster loving kid sounded like a good idea. The issue was the way staff treated us (their mistake) over a lobster dinner as if our lips had never graced a lobster tail before. It was humiliating. I could go on and on about the leaking shower, water pouring from the ceiling, but I’m reliving the frustration all over again. In a nutshell, we were not treated well when we asked for service and help from the supervisor, Lydia at the front desk and there was nothing done to try to make our stay better. I don’t know if it was a cultural barrier, communication barrier, but it made me feel horrible. Common courtesy and good treatment should be universal. Our money was stolen from the room safe by one of the cleaning staff. They took the big bills and left the dollar bills behind. Should I be relieved they didn’t wipe us out completely? Yes the safes can be accessed by someone other than the occupants. This was not a vacation for me at all. I’m a hard working mother of 2 looking for a reprieve from life back home but ended up coming here having to self-advocate, troubleshoot and get the D class treatment. We will most definitely not return to Crown Paradise.

    Jesus is the best!

    We had the perfect time during our week at Crown Paradise. Every restaurant was delicious, although my favorite had to be Wayne’s Boots. All the workers were always accommodating for our needs and I couldn’t be more appreciative. I couldn’t write this review without mentioning how hard Jesus worked to make us happy. He always had a smile on his face and made our experience better because of it.

    Jesus the bellman was amazing!

    Jesus the bell man was amazing!!! He was so helpful and kind during our stay. All of the bartenders were always kind, and I honestly enjoyed the food! I will say the French restaurant was by far the best, with Italian second. The other restaurants were okay but French knocked it out of the park
