Nice hotel but bad service
Me and my family were to enjoy a nice weekend stay at the hotel ( Courtyard by Marroit ) .. we we’re so excited because we stayed at a courtyard by Marroit before and had such a great experience . But when we arrived the first meeting wasn’t pleasant .. when checking in there was already confusion about the rate we booked, while checking in Olgaienne helped us, and you could notice that she was irritated.. The day after we were all at the pool side and where ordered to go to the front desk because we are supposed to have wristbands , but we never received them .. also we were supposed to get cards for towels which also we didn’t receive. So there we had to pause family time to and get these things sorted out .. After a day at the pool, when we reached our room , the one got fresh towels and the other one didn’t.. We were supposed checkout monday , but there seemed to be a problem with our reservation, and we found out because our room card didn’t work anymore ! And we were ordered to check out immediately and leave the premises, we were not even allowed to stay . Nicole ( she had short hair ) at the front desk was really rude and not even helpful to find an other solution. the hotel was fine and clean but because of some of the staff I wouldn’t recommend it !
Just what we were looking for
This resort was perfect for us. Small, personable, reasonably priced and nice. We loved the location. Short walk to beach (they do have a shuttle) and shopping and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice. If you aren't the big fancy high rise resort type but want something nice, the Mill Resort may be your answer.
We would definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were wonderful! There was construction but it wasn’t anything that disturbed the stay at all. The swim up bar is a great luxury to have and its just a quick walk to the beach and nightlife.
Honestly the outside of the resort was a hot mess. When pulling up to it wasnt sure it was even a hotel. Apparently switching over to a Marriott soon so alot of construction/landscaping being done. That being said the staff was super helpful. The rooms has just been all remodeled and are very comfortable. The pool area is beautiful. It is not on the beach its across from the Riu. You do have to walk a few minutes to get to the beach or you can take a complimentary shuttle. I love being at palm beach but also enjoy a little peace and quiet and this pool area delivered. For the price it really is a hidden gem. After construction is completed I am not sure how the prices will be but we were so happy to get this rate now.
Pleasantly Surprised The Mill Resort
We stayed at The Mill Resort for a week celebrating a friends birthday. To be honest after reading the comments I wasn’t going to book, because of the comments about the property being under renovation. However after relying on my own personal research we decided to book. Yes the comments were true about the front desk/ receptionist area being a mess and under construction..but I knew that already from the comments so I was prepared. We was checked into a two bed pool view newly renovated room, actually we was the first. And to our surprise they had Birthday cake and flowers set up in the room such a nice touch. The room was gorgeous. The pool was amazing! The swim up bar the best, with good food. Sounds perfect right...The CON .. The building we were placed in had a pipe that busted and we had no water. They had a note in the room to explain detail the issues and the resolution. The staff was very friendly and did everything in there power to accommodate the guest. We opted to move to a different building but the water was back on within 5 hrs. The one con for a property under renovation wasn’t bad because the staff went over and above to make it right. Ketsia at the reception was awesome handling the situation. The staff actually made our trip so much more enjoyable Sandy, Hainer, Caesar were absolutely a pleasure each one made us feel so welcomed. They were so professional and helpful. Once this resort finish it renovations I’m sure the prices will go up. Don’t feed into the comments I was Pleasantly Surprised
