Had a great time!
Highly recommend the Comfort Suites. It’s much more affordable than Atlantis, but you still get free access to the Atlantis waterpark. The room was clean and big, with a mini fridge and a safe. The staff were all very friendly. The pool was never crowded. The free breakfast buffet was great! My only complaint is the restaurant at the hotel was sub par. I didn’t love my meals (we ate there once for lunch and once for dinner), the service was slow (one night we waited for over an hour after we were seated for our food and then it took forever to get our bill), and it’s overpriced. Go to Anthony’s across the street instead. If we ever come back to Paradise Island, we will definitely stay at the Comfort Suites again.
Super Saver Deal
After doing a lot of research we realized staying at the Comfort Suites would give us complete access to Atlantis. Not only do you have full access for a lot less but breakfast is included. We are a family of 4 and meals tend to rack up a lot of our expenses. It’s central location to everything makes it ideal for all needs. Right across the street you have affordable dinning and convenience stores. During one of my coffee runs to Dunkin Donuts I met a wonderful woman who they call Mama Kendra. She is a local gem who is very informative and helped us book an amazing excursion to Blue Lagoon. The lagoon was absolute heaven and great for our kids. You can book a dolphin or seal lion encounter. You can simply enjoy the lagoon and it’s peaceful waters. The hospitality that Mama Kendra demonstrates is like no other, and I travel often. If you need information on tours or recommendations or just where to go around the island, she is your person. We will be back to visit yearly now and will definitely keep in touch with Mama Kendra. I have never traveled and added to my family but she is considered family now. If anyone is interested I have attached pictures below of Mama Kendra and our wonderful excursion day. You can also reach her personally at 1 (242)-442-6948 . Don’t think twice about it save money and book a vacation of a lifetime at the Comfort Suites without spending your life savings.
2 star hotel, an affordable way to experience Atlantis
This hotel was pretty pleasant in lobby, but rooms were not nice. Bathrooms had mildew and they were cheap and old. Basically this was a 2 star hotel that made it somewhat affordable to get tickets to Atlantis for a family of five. Plus, it was a nice little walk to the Atlantis hotels, pools and beach. I would just save and pay the extra expense of staying on properties, so that everything was easily accessible. Keep in mind, everything is very expensive on paradise island and Atlantis anyway, so just expect to pay high prices for everything!
Nice hotel, free Atlantis, BUT some cons too
You get an Atlantis wristband that looks the same as everyone else's in the park and access to all of the slides, pools and free activities as Atlantis guests. To get this, you bring photo ID for each person (max 4 per room) and pink paper cards that Comfort Suites gives you to the Adventures desk in Beach Tower (must be done by 4pm). You are supposed to keep your ID and pink card with you at all times. But you only need to get the bracelet once and you keep it on your entire stay. Normally we would be able to just charge lunch to our room key card, but in this case we also had to carry around a credit card with us since Atlantis is cashless. We kept it in a waterproof pouch because we were nervous about leaving credit cards and ID in our beach bags in case they were stolen or something. The hotel is located down the driveway, across the street and one short block from the Coral Towers lobby, next door to the strip mall that faces the Marina area of Atlantis. The property itself is nice, clean, a bit dated, done up in the Colonial Style. We got the standard room which had a comfortable king bed, mini fridge with small ice compartment, a couch in a little living room (separated by a mini privacy wall) with coffee table and desk, shower inside a large bathtub, and the sink & vanity were outside of the bathroom. We had sliding doors overlooking the pool & tons of flowering bushes but there was no balcony to sit on. Other views were probably of the parking garage or the street so we really lucked out. They offer a free breakfast buffet, every day has bagels, toast, cold cereal, scrambled eggs and some sort of meat (changes each day from bacon, sausage or pork hash). There's a make your own waffle station that takes forever but is tasty. Also coffee, OJ and apple juice. You are not allowed to remove anything from the dining room to eat in your room. There are lots of stairs here, especially to get to the pool and breakfast. Also they advertise free cable but it's never actually working, if that is important to you. Normally we wouldn't care but we missed Game of Thrones! LOL There is free wifi that is a little slow. The staff is extremely nice, every person we talked to was friendly and not in a fake way. Our main complaint was location. It only adds another 10 minutes to your walk, which is fine, but on days it rains, you are really stuck. At least if you are staying at Atlantis you can get from almost any part of the property, from Beach Tower all the way to The Cove, by indoor hallways or outdoor covered walkways. Then you can take advantage of the aquariums and casino to pass the time. Overall -- CSPI is a good option if you have children and trying to save money. For two adults the price is about the same as staying at Atlantis when they are having a sale, and you'll miss out on any extras Atlantis is offering like resort and food credits.
Less expensive way to visit Atlantis
Stay here and get all access to Atlantis! It's quieter, has breakfast included, and has a nice pool. We've stayed at Atlantis and Comfort Suites. We prefer Comfort Suites. It has a tour desk for booking all tours. It's closer to the dock to catch a ferry to town or take a tour. After extra fees for additional adult above 2, energy fee, and all the taxes, our room was right at $300 per night. The hotel encourages the guest to save energy, so we shut off the AC when we leave for the day but when we return it is on and set to 62°. Burr, we are dressed for summer and sometimes wet.
