It just keeps getting better!
We are preparing to check out and fly home after another fantastic week here at the CCBH. I've written a few reviews over the years about this family run gem of a hotel so I will just mention a few notable highlights this time. First of all, booking directly with the hotel and receiving a free daily buffet breakfast and airport transfers is definitely worth it. Great variety of hot and cold foods served with a smile by all members of the dining room staff. Second, we ate some evenings at a few of our favourite local places (Mama Mia's and Jakes) but we had the majority of our dinners at Coco's (formerly known as The Deck) right here at the Coconut Court. There were 8 of us spending a week down here and we were in full agrement that all of our meals at the hotel were excellent. No issues at all. Third, It looks as though the re-furbishment of the "standard rooms" is concluding as I write this review. The ongoing work while we were here did not intrude on our stay here at all. Hats off to the management and the work crews. Finally, my wife and I travel quite a bit but have never stayed at any place that can match the friendlines and helpfulness of the owners (IE. The Blades family) or their incredible staff . They treat you like family and go out of their way to ensure that you are looked after. Thanks to all of you once again and we will return!
We enjoyed everything about Coconut Court Beach Hotel. The room, location, beach, cleanliness and most of all the fabulous staff! We were on B&B so had a variety of meals at nearby restaurants during our stay - Jakes in particular but also enjoyed our meal in the hotel restaurant. Everything is so easy - booking tours with Vaida (Ted’s Tour a must); getting into Bridgetown on the shuttle bus; catching a ZR or government bus right outside the hotel but most of all chilling on the fantastic beach with an occasional visit to see Antonio or Ryan at Charlie’s bar! Thank you to everyone at Coconut Court for an amazing holiday.
We enjoyed our stay here and probably deserves a little better rating, but here are the issues we had: 1-no elevators, my wife injured her knee and having stairs every where made it difficult. 2- I called 3 times for a blanket for our bed and when the lady finally brought it she argued with me that they had already brought me one. 3- the meal plan is good for about the first half of the week, by the end of the week we were pretty tired of the same options. They should consider changing menus on Wednesday’s. 4- The women servers for the most part were not real friendly, a few were awesome but the majority made it seem like we were putting them out to get us a salt shaker. Aside from these and other issues the rooms were clean, the majority of the hotel staff and the men from the dining staff were a lot of fun. The beach was perfect and clean from debris. The staff was gracious to put us on the pool deck level to accommodate my wife’s knee injury. All in all they were good but I don’t know if I would stay there again.
I just have two words to say: Stay there. The staff are attentive. Antonio the barman is simply great. It's right on a nice beach, plus a pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable. You can book tours on site.
I read a few negative reviews but some of what I read was bewildering when you actually visit this superb family hotel. Not pretentious, not 5 star but just fantastic at what it does. In an unbeatable location right on a sandy beach with excellent snorkelling just off the beach in shallow waters. We were on B&B and the breakfasts were fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were always staff around cleaning round the pool or the beach. Sad to leave and keen to go back. Can highly recommend.
