Best hotel for us
What an absolutely brilliant time we had. This is our 3rd visit 2nd for our friends. Lots of improvement, rooms being refurbished. Beach cleaned of seaweed daily ,Clean rooms, beautiful environment . Hotel staff are amazing and the animation team were brilliant, spoke to their manager and couldn’t compliment enough the hard work they put in daily and all the fun. Only disappointing thing since last we visited was the booking system for restaurants, we preferred the old way of just turning up. Very disappointed with the Mexican restaurant we on went once this time and found the food very bland, however we just love this hotel, beach right by the pool area and the sea is just heavenly Crystal blue. Will we revisit? YES WE WILL. Thankyou Catalonia royals Tulum for the beautiful memories we have come away with AGAIN 🥰

Wonderful Staff!
The resort was beautiful! Food and drinks are great. The beach in September was crystal clear. The entertainment staff is even better! A very special thanks to Gio, Pau, Charlie, Diego, Abraham, and Shamed. They made the experience so much fun!

Relaxing, clean, friendly hotel
Pros: - The staff at this hotel are absolutely exceptional - especially the entertainment team, specifically Abraham and Pau, they work so hard and are insanely friendly and enthusiastic - The food and drinks are probably the best we’ve had at an all inclusive before. The breakfasts and lunches in the buffet are varied and we were so pleased to see there was the perfect amount and a good selection but without it being grossly wasteful like some hotels. The buffet for dinner is only on Saturdays so on the other nights, you have to book the al a cartes, which put on very nice food you’d be happy to pay for in a fancy restaurant. These also had good variety and perfect portion sizes. The Italian was our favourite closely followed by the steak grill - The hotel offers free room service which I ordered at 1.30am one morning and it arrived soon after - The beach towels are changed every day from your room. The maid comes and collects your old ones and changes them in the evening. Which is a lovely touch - The drinks are great and not watered down (trust me!) or stingily poured like some hotels, and bar staff are super quick as well as pool and beach ladies coming to take your drinks orders throughout the day - The beach is stunning and you can enjoy kayaking, snorkelling, paddle boarding for 1 hour a day per person for free as well as go on their catamaran for 25 mins for free to (highly recommended). The sea is gorgeous, not masses of fish and the sand is soft underfoot. We heard some people say they’d been lucky enough to see turtles - The front desk staff are very helpful, as are the bell boys - The rooms are nice and very clean and tidy. Just what you need and the minibar is all included and restocked including 3L of water everyday - The weather was lovely. A couple of times we had a downpour of rain and a bit of a storm but it passes in 30 mins or so. Sometimes it was a bit overcast for a couple of hours but trust me, it was quite well received by us at times, as it’s very hot and humid! - make sure you shadebathe and suncream lots. - The evening entertainment is great fun! - Around the hotel is exceptionally clean, tidy, well equipped and the groundsmen/gardeners/cleaners work very hard - The hotel grounds are very cool and lots of lovely wildlife - We could almost always get a sunbed, although sometimes a little thin on the ground if we came down later and bearing in mind the hotel was quiet during our stay, I can imagine guests struggle in busier months - Your wristband is also your room card, a nice touch Cons: - The hotel shop is very expensive - Sometimes in the al a cartes and buffet, we had to wait a long time for drinks and we had to prompt staff to have more, rather than being offered them/kept an eye on. I don’t think we were ever able to have more than 2 drinks during a 3 course meal due to this slowness. Not a huge problem really but just FYI

Nice experience
Just returned from a 2 week stay here, really nice hotel with a jungle vibe going on I loved the setting and all the wildlife. The staff are all amazing and very hard working, so polite and cannot do enough for you. The beach and pool was just lovely, there’s no need to get up early to reserve sun beds as there are plenty there! Nice spacious room with a big balcony overlooking the jungle setting, bed is super comfy! Fridge restocked every day with soft drinks, beers, waters and little snacks. Fresh beach towels were replaced every day. Only thing lacking was the air con! And this wasn’t just in the room it was everywhere in the hotel/restaurants! I think a lot of reviews state this too. The food was ok probably not the best all inclusive that I have been to. The breakfast was the only really good meal that we would look forward to. The buffet at lunch time was ok sometimes a bit hit and miss. The restaurants are ok of an evening but you have to prebook a time slot which is a bit time consuming having to plan around that! Entertainment by the pool during the day was great, different activities for you all to join in. But entertainment of an evening was not so great I think we spent most of our evenings back at the room. The last 2 days of our holiday were ruined we had these awful bugs (similar to ants) everywhere in our room we woke up one morning full of bites! All over our feet and legs, as soon as we reported this to reception they dealt with the situation very quick and we had to pack all our stuff and we got moved to a different room. Overall it was my first time in Mexico and we enjoyed our experience here ❤️

No evening buffet 6 nights out of 7
It would be 5 stars review if there would be an option of evening buffet every night. We went to all 5 restos available for non privileged guests, but would return only to Mexican and Italian. Food was good everywhere except the Grill, however very slow service in Asian, where we got less items than ordered and had to leave after 90 minutes without eating full meal as got severely bitten (30 mosquito bites on me). We didn't like Rauxa either. It was so loud, that we had to raise voices to talk to each other. We left at 8.45pm without full meal and show hasn't even started yet, very poor experience. Mexican resto was by far the best - delicious food and drinks and amazing service. We also liked Italian - great food and service. Overall we enjoyed great greenery, wildlife, nice beach, spacious room and great service. Smoothie bar on the beach was genius! We might be back as hotel is located very conveniently for us, but night meals are definitely challenging. First time in years I actually lost weight in an all-inclusive hotel :) Special ask for the fellow travelers - your smoke/vape and even your generously sprayed perfume, cause headaches to people around you. Please be considerable, we share the space.
