 *Important Information for our guests*

The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter.  The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday.  The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized and non-motorized watersports may be banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted  (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to non-native persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silenced

These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.

    Beautiful Resort

My family, which includes my fiancé and I, our little boy 2 years old and my parents, are currently staying at this beautiful resort. We booked a junior suit for our two week stay. After a few problems with the room, the hotel upgraded us all to a privileged room. The hotel management and guest services, really care about their guests and go to great lengths to ensure their they are well looked after and have a great time. We have a week left of our trip and will update further later on.

Beautiful hotel grounds but unfriendly bar staff

This resort is close to the airport, taxi fare is 30 dollars. The hotel grounds are beautiful, our room was modern and clean. The cleaning lady did a great job every day. Food was exceptionally good, except the dinner at the Italian themed restaurant. The beach is amazing, except the people constantly selling shells and massages, they shout at you every time they pass by to get your attention. The bar staff let us wait every time even when not busy, going to a bar was a complete nightmare. Except the Martini bar staff, they were rude and slow.

Extensive traveller would NEVER recommend this hotel

I chose this resort because it had mostly good reviews. I ignored the odd really bad one. We paid for privilege and brought my mother in law for her 70th birthday. It’s been a nightmare from day one. Couldn’t get coffee or enough cups. No maid service 3 out of the 5 days so fat. No towels replenished no wash cloths no water no mini bar restocks without calling repetitively. We’ve made our own beds emptied our garbage into a giant plastic bag from the closet in the hall. We’ve called we’ve been to the front desk we’ve been to guest services. I’ve shown them photos. All polite and patient. No screaming or swearing or rudeness. I showed them pictures of our empty toilet paper roll. This time they promised room cleaning within 30 minutes. 90 minutes later I called back. I had to tell the story all over. Never mind that the privilege benefits do not get you priority seating or the outdoor area or the added touches promised. Yes you get an updated room. If you are okay with emptying your garbages, making your beds, using the same towel for 5 days then book here. If you, like me, take vacation to be pampered or even remotely taken care of book anywhere else.
