Comfortable and clean
I was here for a diving holiday and the hotel was arranged by the dive operation Tres Pelicanos. It is very close to the dive shop and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby as the hotel only does breakfast. They only have a small plunge pool. While this is not the hotel for a family vacation it is very convenient for divers and for shopping. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Still Excellent Accommodations
We have been staying here for several years, and I have rated this hotel before, I thought I would update my comments. I can’t say enough about the reservation, desk, cleaning, and dining room staff. They are all courteous, friendly and professional and go the extra distance to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I would like to offer special thanks to Romy, Gustavo,Jaime, and our maid Elda.
The hotel is just a short walk from the ferry. The breakfast is very elaborate with lots of choices. The room was big and we had a balcony at the back of the hotel. The pool is lovely too. Only minor detail is that they don't have any food except for breakfast.
Sparing you the details, Casa Mexicana was recommended by CMC Costamed Hospital. It was perfect! It was on the strip so my step-children (19,17 & 16) were able to walk about. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff....OUTSTANDING! The front desk was so accommodating as we paid for our rooms a day at a time as we did not know when my husband would be released from the hospital. The pool was warm and what a view overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Our evening bartender, Gustava (I hope I have the spelling correct) was a God send. He directed me to local eateries that were more affordable to feed two teenage boys. I cannot thank him enough. Oh, and the breakfast.....delicious! The only disappointment is when we had to eat indoors.
We have been guests at Casa Mexicana several times and always found the hotel to be a delight. Employees remembered us and seemed happy that we returned. The staff is helpful when you have questions. Our room included internet and breakfast. I must say the breakfast is beyond just a buffet with the selections they offer and it differs daily which is nice. Not a fan of the lobby swimming pool but many use it. The room ac is so cold we have had to turn it off at times.
