    Amazing place to stay!

We stayed here a night before our Southern Caribbean cruise on Freedom of the Seas. It was a beautiful hotel. The renovations were amazing. We had a double oceanview room and it was amazing. Extremely spacious, modern and a huge balcony. The new lobby was so spacius and open aired. The lobby bar was great! The pools were amazing and never once felt crowded. Mojito's was amazing. Great service and the mofongo was delicious. The ice cream/cookie shop at the hotel was great as well. The hotel was centrally located. About a 10 min Uber to downtown, 15 min from the airport, 5 to the Pan American cruise terminal, and about 15 min to Casa Bacardi. Cannot wait to come back

Great pools, beach, room and dive shop

Our room had Two double beds, ocean view and balcony. Very clean and quiet. The continental breakfast was very good, always an assortment of fresh fruits and juices, cereals and bakery items. The staff were all friendly and we had great service. You have an option for a full breakfast or order of the menu. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. Security monitoring made the area very comfortable. No charge for pool or beach umbrellas but the cabanas were not free. Dive shop right in hotel very convenient. Good for beginners. We took a van to Fajardo for deep diving. All staff at both dive shops were helpful. Across the street is a restaurant serving local food and a bar/store with outside seating. The food and medalla, the local beer much cheaper than hotel. About a 30 minute walk to old San Juan. 15 minute walk to Condado an area with lots of restaurants and bars.

    Beautiful, but so expensive

My husband and I spent the night here before leaving on a cruise. It came highly recommended by a friend and got great reviews. I used Hilton Honors points for the stay, but it would have cost about $300 for the night. I checked in using the app, but it wouldn’t let me select my room. When we arrived, the check-in process was fast. It was a long walk to our room (garden wing) and we wondered if we’d gone too far. We finally found the elevator, but they don’t both go to all the floors and there were no signs saying which went where. Of course, we got on the wrong one. We eventually found our room and it was great. Very spacious, clean, and modern. There was a broken cabinet panel under the bathroom sink which was weird considering it had just been remodeled. We walked around the grounds and they are beautiful. There are plenty of areas inside and out to relax. There are big pools, lots of seating near the pool and ocean, and plenty of bars. The restaurants on site are very expensive ($30 per person breakfast buffet). There are great, local places just across the street. Uber is not allowed to pick up at the hotel entrance. You have to walk to the perimeter. Not a problem for us, but it could be inconvenient for others. Our San Juan Uber drivers were the best we’ve had anywhere. It is a great property, but because of the price, I’ll probably stay elsewhere next time.
