  Fun resort with lots going on!

  My husband and I had an incredible babymoon at Breathless Riviera Cancun! We loved all of the activities: beach volleyball every day, great music, and always something going on! All of the food was delicious, too! Barefoot grill has awesome made-to-order sandwiches and pizzas. There was also lots of pop up food spots throughout the week which was fun to have! The nightly entertainment was excellent, too! We loved the quiet Xhale lounge and Lidia there is the best! It was really nice having chairs by the Energy pool just for Xhale! We can't wait to return!

  Great experience

  Overall the resourt is a very nice resort. The staff were very happy and welcoming at all times each day. They were very accommodating. The shower in the room was amazing. The French restaurant was my favorite and the buffet had lots of good food.

  Great service and pools, but the beach is unusable and there’s nowhere comfortable to relax midday or in the evening

  I just returned from a 5-night stay at Breathless Riviera Cancun, and here is my honest, unbiased review based on personal experience: 1. Staff – 10/10 The staff were exceptional—consistently friendly, welcoming, and polite regardless of tipping. They truly made the experience feel warm and personal. 2. Cleanliness – 8.5/10 The resort is overall very clean and well-maintained, but a few areas could benefit from more detailed upkeep. 3. Beach – 1/10 Unfortunately, the beach was the biggest letdown. Heavy seaweed made it nearly impossible to swim. The natural shoreline is rocky, with white sand added artificially over a rough reef. Walking is difficult due to sharp rocks, and there’s virtually no space for a proper beach walk. Not ideal for beach lovers. 4. Food – 8/10 (Breakfast/Lunch), 5/10 (Dinner) Morning and lunch buffets were enjoyable with good variety and quality. However, dinner was disappointing—there is no buffet option in the evening, only à la carte, which lacked variety and felt underwhelming. 5. Lounge & Relaxation Space – 1/10 There is a surprising lack of shaded lounge areas during the day. If you want to relax, your only real option is to return to your room. In the evening, there are no comfortable couches or relaxation areas—just hard wooden chairs or standing options. It’s not suitable for couples looking for a romantic evening atmosphere. 6. Service – 10/10 Service throughout the resort was outstanding—especially poolside and on the beach. The team was attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring. Special thanks to Alexander, the manager of pool bar area for going above and beyond. 7. Pools – 9/10 The pools are fantastic, especially the ones with ocean views. Clean, spacious, and perfect for enjoying the sun and social atmosphere. Final Verdict: Breathless Riviera Cancun shines in staff hospitality, pool experiences, and top-tier service. However, it falls short in beach quality, evening comfort, and dinner variety. If you’re looking for great energy, service, and poolside fun, it delivers. But if you value a swimmable beach and cozy lounge spaces, this might not be the ideal fit.

  Breathless once agian left us breathless

  My friend and I visited from March 30-April 6 and had a wonderful time! This was my second breathless resort having stayed at breathless cancun soul in November of 2023. Room: We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an exhale oceanfront swim out king. We stayed in room 3031. As it was our second breathless so I knew what to expect re: the shower LOL. Our swimout had sun and we were able to get drink service. It wasn’t as warm as the pools but warmer than previous swimouts. For exhale perks, we had Pringle’s and m&ms restocked daily and three mini bottles of tequila plus a bottle of champagne. Our room was steps away from the energy pool and we never had an issue with noise from the resort. Food: Food was on par with other secrets/breathless resorts. To note, my friend is gluten free and for hibachi gulten free soy sauce was available! Favourite restaurant were the French and Italian. Welcome additions from other resorts was the taco bar outside from 4-6pm that was a MUST after the party pool and the late night tacos at the buffet from 12-3am. Exhale Club: As an impressions uvc member we had exhale club access and a butler. The new exhale seating by the energy pool was great, there was a premium bar available there as well. Our butlers Roberto and Iusardo were helpful in checking in and ensuring our stay was top notch. Overall vibe: Great party vibe if you wanted it. We spent the mornings by the energy pool reading and hanging out and then migrated to the party pool for the afternoon. In all honesty we never made it to any evening entertainment, choosing to hang out at The Bar and play many rounds of jenga before heading to the nightclub. I appreciated how music from the party pool couldn’t be heard at the energy pool and vice versa. I also found the music better here than breathless soul Some cons: -Only having one bar tender at the party pool swim up bar lead to a long wait for drinks and often me double fisting. - no fault of the resort, but there was so much wind that umbrellas were not able to be put out at the pool - more seating at the party pool!! Standouts: America - exhale club check in Edwin and Rogilio - pool waiters Uriel - party pool bar tender Roberto - butler Elvia - waitress at The Bar in the evening

  Memorable family trip

  I came in a family trip (from 50s to 80s years old) and we had a Great experience. Food and drinks are awesome, entertainment at pool and at night is a non stop. Shout out to the bar team Alexander, Santiago y Edwin, Sergio and Carlos made a funny guacamole class.
