    Food poisoning

We recently stayed at this all-inclusive resort and had a mostly enjoyable experience. The drinks were amazing, with a wide variety of cocktails expertly made by the bartenders. The staff was incredibly responsive and always ready to help, making our stay feel comfortable and welcoming. However, there were a couple of downsides. We unfortunately experienced food poisoning after dining at the Italian restaurant, which put a damper on our trip. Additionally, the check-in and check-out process was frustratingly slow, with long lines that took much longer than expected. Overall, it’s a lovely resort with great amenities, but there are definitely areas that need improvement.

    Great First Time All Inclusive

Just returned from a week at Breathless Punta Cana. We had a fabulous time. The staff was extremely helpful! Most notably Angel was our server and was incredibly attentive and friendly. I would recommend Breathless just because of the service we received!!!

    Worse Stayed

I stayed in January in this Hotel, I have the Resort Membership, this was one the worst stayed I have ever had. from the double booking to the Room I was assign to , it was a horrible experience. the room smelled. I asked to be moved to another one and it took almost 7 hrs to do so. wont ever go back.

I had no expectations... now, I hope to go back!

This was a friends&family group trip of 12 people, I agreed without even looking at the resort. I know the food, and beaches in DR never disappoint, and this was no exception. We were part of the Xhale Club upgrade (worth it!) The food: We happily ate at the buffet (the spoon), as the selection is large and everything was hot. The steak house (the Strip grill) was so good, I would have gone back if there wasn't so much else to try. The Strip is also the Xhale breakfast and lunch buffet which has everything my husband and I want. The teppanyaki tables lived up to the standard I'm used to seeing there. One couple from our group went to the French restaurant (Coquette) and had good things to say about it. A few of us went next door for Mexican, I really enjoyed the fajitas but, my friends who ordered the chefs special were disappointed. For lunch we usually chose to share a panini from the beachside grill (Barefoot grill) after our morning espresso at the Nook. We usually ended our evenings at the Xhale club, which has the upper shelf liquor. The staff here were always on point. Shout outs: Xhale buffet - Johnathan is a master at the omelette bar, and the sweetest personality! Panini grill - Julia was always excited to try exchanging English/spanish conversations... she is worth taking a minute with as your cheesy chicken or ham panini was made. So good! Pool/Beach: The beach is glorious, but windy in the morning. As you head towards the water, I like walking to the left. The beach is less steep, you go by the massage/no-stress shopping and can continue on for at least a mile before getting to a busy section. The pools have an area for everyone. There is the swim up bar that is busy and has some activities (like Zumba), a quiet area, and then the other end where we sat. There is another party pool, that has a lot going on including a grotto style area. It seems more posh. The pool isn't too deep where you have to be on tip-toes and there is a ledge all the way around. Shout out: Pool server - Leonidaz was amazing! We had a small cooler, that he would fill with ice and water to keep our drinking team hydrated. He got to know our drinks and was always chuckling and we truly enjoyed him. The rooms: Our room overlooked the pool and where we liked to sit. There is no dresser, just shelves in the closet. But, I actually liked the layout as it gave us room to gather. The walk-in shower was a plus (and always had hot water). The rooms were well cleaned and maintained, so I had no issues there. Shout outs: Cleaning staff - Ines was our primary cleaning staff. She was so sweet, and if she saw me was immediately asking if there was anything I needed. Fridge - Miguel was a dream. Like Ines, he was always asking if there was anything I needed or wanted more/less of for snacks and bar. He was sure to leave extra water, knowing it I go through a lot of it. Xhale Club Host/Buttler: WILLY!!!! I don't know how he did it. He was sure to visit our group at the pool at least twice a day, then took care of us as couples as well. He always replied to messages quickly and checked up after to make sure we were happy. He had seats saved for us at the Super Bowl event, restaurants booked, and stayed beyond his shift on the last day to help us when our flight was significantly delayed. He organized a room for us to have, so we could enjoy our day and then have a safe space for our belongings, shower, and rest. He has even checked in with me after our return (on his day off, while out with his daughter). Based solely on our experience with Willy, I would say that upgrading the the Xhale club is completely worth it. Add on the restaurant and club bar perks and the trip is just amazing. Delays and airline drama - Shoutout: We are one of the groups affected by repeated/significant delays. If you're Canadian, you probably know the airline I'm talking about (I don't know if they'll let me post the name). After hours of waiting at the airport, they gave us no information, but brought us to busses that shipped us back to our original resorts. The thing is that flights were coming in, and there were no rooms! This is NOT the fault of this resort, but here were were sleeping in their lobby while the - night manager Edwin - tried to get a airline representative to answer the phone, and called neighbouring resorts. In the end he helped us get taxis back to the airport and although it had nothing to do with the resort (remember we were checked out hours before, and no longer registered there), he was very sympathetic.

    Great place for relaxation

Beaches and pools were great, rooms were simple and decently appointed. Xhale club was perfect for relaxing. Food and drinks were slightly better than expected. Snacks and drinks by Xhale club pool were wonderful. Everyone had a great time with help from our group concierge Jesus Ramos! Would love to come back again in a few years.
