We just returned from 6 days at Breathless. It was our first time in the DR and we loved it. Our request to our travel agent was a great beach and adults only. This resort hit both out of the park. We are beach people and we spent every day on the beach.... even the cloudy ones. We lost a day of our vacation because of the storm so we were ready to get out of the cold. We had 4 days of really nice sunny weather and 2 days of clouds and rain at night. You can't control the weather. One day we were on the beach reading and the wind was whipping. We were the only ones on the beach chairs! But we left 20+ inches of snow at home, so windy and cloudy beach was still better than being at home. The staff was very friendly and eager to please. We brough $200 for tips and used most of it. $2 for a drink. $5 for meals and room. They are so grateful for anything. I did see a lot of people not leave any tips.... The restaurants were really good. Kibbeh was closed. Even the buffet was great for dinner. I know there are discussions about the dress codes for the restaurants. I wore a sundress or nice slacks every night. My husband wore shorts and a nice shirt with boat shoes. I did see girls not allowed in the buffet because they only had bathing suit tops on. We ate at the French restaurant twice. Saying that..... my husband is a very plain eater, so I was not sure what he would get to eat. The steak was the best, even better than the Steak house. We went next door to Dreams to use the water park and ride the lazy river one morning. It was fun and we ate at the Taco Truck there. I would be back!

Transfer from airport was a bit chaotic but ended O.K. Resort was a bit dated but clean and the grounds were well kept. The beach was at times had a lot of seaweed however the tractors were working hard to clean it up which was a bit of a distraction when trying to relax. Rooms were clean and comfortable. A lot of noise in the halls late at night when the party people returned most likely from Coco Bongo. Service and food were awesome especially Andrea at the Xhale beach. She went above all my expectations and I have been to over 80 resorts in my travels. I would rate this resort a 4 1/2 star but this option is not available.

Birthday
Willy, our concierge at Breathless Punta Cana, provided truly exceptional service. He was attentive, professional, and always made sure our needs were met. Willy arranged our luggage pickup and transportation by cart to the main lobby and consistently checked in on us—even on his day off. AlsoRosemary truly made my daughter Jada’s 25th birthday unforgettable. From the very beginning, every detail was perfectly planned and beautifully executed. She coordinated an incredible multi-course dinner at Silk City Hibachi for our group of nine, arranged elegant in-room cocktails before dinner, and even organized a late-night room celebration. Rosemary also secured a reserved beach spot, a 25-minute massage for Jada, a VIP table with bottle service at the nightclub, and a special group photo setup to capture the memories. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made this celebration stress-free and truly special. This was an amazing experience from start to finish, and I’m beyond grateful to Rosemary for creating such a memorable milestone birthday. Highly recommend! ✨💖

Start a Restaurant Reservation System!
I am only giving this resort 4 stars because of the lack of a reservation system at the restaurants. It's not organized, everyone goes to eat at the same time, and 1-2 hour waits. I.dont understand why they don't have reservations to eliminate the crazy rushes. Nobody on their vacation wants to wait 2 hours to eat dinner. The beach is a 3 star compared to other resorts but we didn't care too much because we used our swim out room. If you're a beach person stay away from. Uvero Alto hotels and stay closer to Bavaro or on La Romana. The beach in this area is rough and often has a red flag for no swimming. We loved our swim out room, housekeeping was great. The Italian restaurant was delicious. The steak house was very disappointing. Overall though it's a nice place with cool people.

Exceed Expectations
Breathless Resort and Spa exceeded our expectations! Great food, service, pools, beach and views! I plan to go back again soon!
