NEED TLC
we stayed at the bungalows for a family vacation from nov. 29-dec.7. upon arriving the hotel grounds looked immaculate, the main hotel with its old world charm, the beach club with its stunning grounds. the bungalow is great for families as the units are quite spacious. we had a 2 bedroom, full kitchen, living and dining area with private balcony. i would give it a 4 star but there are some issues. first being that during our stay there was approx 2-3 conventions that overlapped. one of these conventions had their own private shuttles starting from 6:40am at every 5 minute intervals we would hear the shuttles backing up incessantly. make matters worse is that they would either pick up no on or just one person at a time. we advised the hotel but wasn't resolved until that actual convention finished. being woken up by sounds of a bus backing up every 5 minutes just sucks when you're on vacation. as a guest i felt this issue should have been dealt with immediately but seems like money from conventions speak louder than private individual guests.... secondly, our unit and generally the bungalows needs TLC. as you can see in the photos the bathroom mirror needed touch ups, the bed linens were in disgusting condition. it should be thrown out! no warm or hot water in the second bathroom sink. some stains on the couch. there was a random paint job attempted around one of the headboards in the second bedroom. housekeeping did not replace the toiletries daily. the bathrobes were in old, tattered conditions. the outdoor premises of the bungalows need a complete paint job. went tot the main hotel and while the lobby is gorgeous and smells nice, the hallways leading to the rooms look shabby and reminded me of an old private school. these are not the standards of a 4 or 5 star property. we bought a breakfast package for the entire trip which works out to $150 per day for 4 ppl. we had breakfast mainly at the beach club but the palm court at the main also has the breakfast buffet as well. the food was good, nothing memorable other than the staff. MATTHEW served us several times and he was outstanding, his service made it feel like a 5 star! overall the staff is excellent and and exuded 4 star service but unfortunatley the resort fell flat on its appearances.

Not Up To Snuff
This was my first time at the hotel, having booked through the fine hotel and resorts department at Amextravel. The hotel has a wow effect, and the grounds are beautiful, but my experience was disappointing. When I came my room wasnt ready, which was fine. I had booked a tower suite, which is the category right under the Presidential Suite. They said they would call me when it was, and they never called me, at some point I just went up to my room. On two occasions, when I was in the room, staff came in without knocking!!! The tub was chipped...I gave them my friends name so they would let her in when she arrived, and when she arrived, they let her in, but would not permit her into our room. I printed out a spa package which was online at their website, and when I went to the spa, they would not honor the spa package. We wanted to eat dinner at Lucca, but it was closed for a private party. They sent it to 501 east, another restaurant, but at 8:40pm it was closing for the evening, so we settled on pizza. Lastly, we had hopes of eating breakfast outdoor overlooking the marina, as I had the day before, no luck, their vet convention was eating there. When we tried taking a boat to the beach resort, we were told we couldnt take the boat, because the vet convention people were usting it. So that was that. Disappointing first experience, especially for the price I paid for the suite!!!

Beautiful But Disappointed.
We extended cruise vacation with 2 days at the Boca Raton Waldorf Resort. When we arrived I had to tell the clerk i was a Diamond HH member and then requested breakfast vouchers which were for a continental breakfast. He told me I could upgrade to full breakfast for $8 more but that turned out to be $20 more as it was $35. Our room was beautiful inside but was at an awful location at the furthest end of the 1st floor with windows to a side road/walkway on the resort. We couldn’t open our drapes without violating our privacy as people walked by. I asked for another room but was told that there were absolutely no other rooms available. After much complaining and negotiating throughout the day, they agreed to refund one night of my HH points since I reserved utilizing points and money. This is a beautiful property and exquisitely decorated for Christmas in a very picturesque environment. I would only return if I had assurance of a room with a much better view on a higher floor or toward the water. Be prepared for all the expensive extras like $35 buffet breakfast, $46 mandatory daily valet parking (since I wasn’t told about any self parking) and $40 daily “resort fee.” This is clearly a hotel for the rich all others beware or come prepared

This is an Excellent property with amazing service. There are lots of restaurants there to choose from you don’t even need to leave the property. The marina and beach is nice too. Definitely will come again.
