DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER STAYING HERE.

The only positives about this facility were that the location is situated just a short walk away from the beach and the bellman was courteous. Aside from that, this facility has no other positives. · The property was mosquito-infested and dirty. The walk to your room is dark and unsafe. The hallways are not lit at all. Their automatic lights don't go on until well late in the evening. If it rains, the lights turn off with no expected time of return as the generator does not kick in right away. The beds are as hard as concrete and the TVs are ancient. Everything on the property is very old and outdated. We had a huge leak in the room and they did not address it. We could have slipped on the tile floor walking in and they did not care. The customer service is terrible. When I politely tried addressing these concerns, they got upset and were practically screaming that they could not do anything about it and I would just have to deal with it. I cannot speak of the food offered here because I packed up our belongings after an hour and left because I found this place to be uninhabitable. Unfortunately, I lost my money because they refused to offer any type of refund because I purchased the stay through Booking.com but I still gladly left. This place is an overall health and safety concern and offers a terrible representation of the beautiful, friendly country of the Dominican Republic. I would never recommend the BelleVue Dominican Bay to anyone.

The resort needs a major upgrade

The facilities are old and out dated. The service is very poor and not helpful. The restuarant doesn't have many choices of variety of food. I have stayed at many resorts this by far is the worst, it should not have the all inclusive resort tag.

    HORRIBLE

I went for a girls trip. I got food poisoning the first night so I explained this to the entire front desk staff and filled out a form explaining why i was leaving early. The hotel “lost” the file and said I never said I had food poisoning even though I almost fainted twice waiting for management to help me. so they refuse to give me and my friends a refund for the other 3 nights because I refused to stay in an infested and poisoning hotel. As a Dominican woman I love my people but this hotel is truly distasteful and just a bunch of liars. I should’ve never even gone past the lobby. DONT GO IF YOU DONT WANT FOOD POISONING.

6th time here always a great time

i was there for the 6th time 6 years in a row me and my family love it here if you read my past reviews you can see how much we love bellevue . we get very upset when we read reviews saying bad things about bellevue , people who pay for a 3 star and expect a 5 star,,. if you are looking for a 5 star and willing to pay for a 5 star then go to one. bellevue is a 3 star you ,will pay for a 3 star; and that is what you are getting .you are getting the best 3 star resort in the domincan republic .

    Very disappointed

Let me start by saying that we are experienced travelers and we our expectations are realistic. We decided to purchase this vacation based on the reviews on Tripadvisor and they seemed pretty good?! First off, the transfer from the airport to Boca Chica is a 2 1/2 hr drive. and the last resort on the list. Not a big deal if you are there for 7 days but we only had 4 days. Positives: The food was good, the resort is clean and pretty small. Easy to get around. Negatives: No waiters or staff at the buffet or bars smiled and asked if needed anything, NOT once! Sad because we are big tippers and we didn't get to tip once! Actually, we tipped the maid every day. The beach is odd, you are separated by a little fence from the locals but that doesn't stop them from harassing you. We arrived on a Sunday and it was full of locals, which can be a nice experience but in this case it was scary and overwhelming. Our first impression was really bad! We were afraid to return to the beach. The pool was full of people and locals, I'm pretty sure we were the only Canadians in the whole place! We have no issues being the only Canadians but nobody smiled at us or acknowledged us the whole time! We've traveled to many other places and always felt safe and taken care of, but this place did not meet these basic expectations. It has potential but it seem like they cater more to locals than guests from other Countries. We do not recommend this place to Canadians.
