For the most part the resort was decent, property is beautiful, loved the beach with not too many complaints. However there are some... 1. The wait to be served in the restaurants was ridiculous. The lobster dinner was absolutely awful. 2. Room service, I guess goes by "its the thought that counts"... whenever we ordered anything, it was delivered just never what we actually ordered. 3. Drinks at the bar was pointless. I ordered a shot of vodka and it was just water. 4. Housekeeping which is the main reason why I gave a low rating was awful. Housekeeping would not make it to our rooms until well after 4pm and she would not clean. Just mop the floor and leave. Everyday I would have to chase her down to have the shower and tub cleaned. To the point I just purchased my own cleaning supplies. She would not remove the used towels, just place clean ones on the table. Same with the bedding and beach towels. So by the end of the week we had a pile of towels and bedding. And one night about 9pm I walked to the clubhouse to make a phone call to check in back home while my 12 year old was taking a shower and I hear her scream to the top of her lungs. I run back and she tells me a housekeeper just walked in said she was replacing towels and walked out. 5. And last but not least... the timeshare folks will ruin anyone's entire vacation. I was approached at breakfast by concierge telling me that I did not receive my welcome gifts for my daughters. He went on and on about how platinum guests were suppose to receive these baskets and asked me to follow him to go pick it up. Turned out to be a sales pitch that he claimed would take about an hour. WTF? I had to fake sick to get away from the harassment. We spent the rest of the trip avoiding anyone from concierge.
The best first Dominican Trip
Honestly I can not recommend this hotel enough. It was mine and my boyfriends first holiday together and the first time either of us have visited the Caribbean and what an amazing time we had. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you, they are so friendly and helpful and a pleasure to be around. We upgraded to the platinum service and this is the best decision we made. This includes the best room with a Jacuzzi, the mini fridge is stocked up with beer, coke and sprite daily, free unlimited room service, your own private area on the beach, free wifi, 40 minute free massage and a complementary lobster dinner. I highly recommend this service as for not that much of an extra cost you get a lot more for your money. With regards to day trips the hotel even provide packed lunches for you to take. The rooms are cleaned daily and the fridge is also checked daily. The hotel has 9 restaurants to pick from and if you upgrade to platinum service you can also go to two sister hotels to eat too and transport is provided by the hotel free of charge. There are carts that take you around the complex that run every 10 minutes as the hotel is very large. The hotels is also on a gorgeous part of the beach is is near the water sport center so you can book your trips there. We was optimistic about booking the Dominican Republic after hearing about people falling ill and neither me or my boyfriend felt ill once but there is a doctors on site if needed. There is a big variety of food to choose from and it is really tasty unlike most all inclusive. Especially the Tapenyaki restaurant the staff are amazing in there and the food is gorgeous. Over all I would really recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the Dominican we had an amazing time and we cant thank the staff enough for being so helpful and so friendly. We will certainly be coming again.

Speak English? / Habla Ingles? - YES/Si
I am a novice Spanish speaker, but I had absolutely no issue communicating with any of the staff at the Princess Resort. Everyone from the front desk clerk, the servers in the restaurant, bell caps, bartenders, etc.- ALL spoke and understood English and communicated very well. The property was immaculate, fabulous selection of tasty food during every meal. My room was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable. TV reception pulled in channels in French, German, English and Spanish. The Bavaro beaches are amazing! Clean white sand, blue clear waters and several water & beach activities.
Check in was quick, the trolley train is a good idea to take you to your room. The room was stunning, comfy bed, jacuzzi tub, mini bar, bath robes and sky tv. The grounds are beautiful and I love the animals peacocks, flamingos, ducks, turtles, Errons and I made a friend of a cat. The beach is beautiful and the pool is ok. The food ok favourite was the Italian. The cocktails was nice. Cons - the entertainment at night was non existent, not much to do at night. People trying to sell you things and want money off you. If you donât tip you wonât get top service. I was bitten to the point of my legs was covered I sprayed but it didnât work. Everyone was itching. The Chopin buffet was never open. Other than that good place
