    Unbelievably disappointed

    I have stayed at this Barceló twice before. The most recent time being 2019. NOTHING has been updated except the fact that they have downgraded the expectations paired with their room reservation titles. I have stayed at other Barceló locations and loved my experience so this one was disappointing to say the least.

    See the above comments. Overall very disappointed, not what we normally expected from the Barcelo.

    The breakfast service was poor to fair. Dinner reservations were mismanaged two times and could not be rescheduled. The breakfast foods were extremely limited, no English muffins no French croissants and the bread was often stale. At dinner time the meats were overcooked and not very tasty. This was a major disappointment for us as the above concerns never appeared in our 10 years prior coming here. Getting a position on the beach was near impossible and I had to get there at 3:30 AM just to get a good spot with proper covering from the sun. The people who handle the lounges and the chairs were excellent and very accommodating. The bathroom shower entranceway was unsafe. My wife and I had to walk over a larger butt MAHON, to gain access to the bath. We are senior citizens, and this was almost an impossible feat to accomplish.

    The Best at Barcelo

    Outstanding for all. The Grouper was superb, the Rib Eye had an exceptional taste & the Calamari was fantastic 😋. It was truly a meal to write home about in all aspects. In addition, the staff was fully attentive to every need and desire, and spot on fir service.

    Poor

    Pool chair situation is HORRIBLE. On pool is not enough to support the hotel. Had to get up at 5 AM to reserve chairs. Sometimes even the reserved chairs were taken by others if you were at lunch. Reservation staff for meals were next to useless and had a horrible attitude. Lobby bar, 1st night had some of the best bartenders I had ever met. Rest if the week the standing couldn't make a decent drink. Food was fair to medium. Buffett with the exception of the pasta was mediocre. I would never got back or positively recommend this hotel.

    Jorman - Cocktail Waiter Pool&Beach

    Stayed at Barcelo this week and our server on the beach was Jorman. This review is a major shout out to this fantastic employee. When we arrived I had taken a fall and injured my knee. Jorman was at my side bringing me ice while I sat on the beach to say that he was instrumental in my recovery is an understatement. Barcelona is extremely lucky to have such an amazing, friendly and sincere employee.
