The food at the buffet was very disappointing and the food outside of the restaurants there was also very disappointing. My kids dreaded eating at the buffet and there were very little kid-friendly options around the hotel to eat. The snack in the evening in the lounge was also terrible. No one goes on vacation to eat tuna salad sandwiches and hot dogs. We've been to several all inclusives and this was by far the worst as far as the food offerings were concerned. No cookies, no snack foods, no grab and go foods. Also the buffet food tasted like the lunch was reheated for dinner. The meat was so hard to cut because it was so overcooked. It was notably less than desirable. Also the service at the larger buffet area was poor. It felt like they went out of their way to say no to requests like pulling tables together even though there was no one sitting at many of the tables. It seemed unnecessary. Also you charge children over the age of 12 an adult price but they don't drink alcoholic beverages and it was a big struggle to even get a wash cloth per family member. At home, we all get to have our own towels and wash cloths. We only received 4 wash cloths for my family 2 of the 7 nights there.

Nov 29, 2024Great people on a great island ! The food was fresh and delicious. Easy access to excursions and off resort amenities.
We will be bringing children and grandchildren next time we visit. The island is so safe and people are so kind . I actually recommend going off resort to mingle. Excursions delivered what they said and did it with a smile

Barcelo - family friendly and super fun!
Kids club Marilyn and Julia were awesome with our kids- they didnt want to leave them! There are tons of activities for adults and children all day- zumba in the pool is definitely a crowd favorite. Our first time jn Aruba and love the easy flow of the Barcelo as opposed to the bigger hotels that seem crazy packed! Can walk into a cute little shopping area across the street! We will be back for sure!

All the staff were extremely pleasant & helpful. The upkeep of the facility was a little disappointing. It is still a nice resort, but the upper management/ownership should really take a look at the little stuff that the guests may notice. The overall food quality was extremely disappointing. Kyoto was great however.

First Club is Amazing!
First club staff is truly the best. You have to try one of Daniel’s chocolate martinis. Simply the best. Always taken care of by the team in the Barcelo Aruba First Club. Ivette has taken care of my family for years. And we love the warm welcome always from Belinda and Marolyn.
