    FANTASTIC HOLIDAY!!

Just returned from a fabulous 10 Day Trip to Bahia Principe Tulum. This was our 5th visit to the Complex… 3 x Coba and 1x @ Akumal. We were 5 Adults and 2 Grandchildren. The Staff is what really makes this place shine and I cannot say enough good things about their Professionalism and their Customer Service. I wish I could remember all their names, but each one tried their best to provide excellent service… even at times when they were sooo busy yet still trying to make every guest’s Vacation memorable by providing an incredible work ethic. I would like to personally thank Cinthia at the Customer Service desk for going above and beyond by giving my Daughter a wonderful Birthday memory and for always being there to answer the many questions that would sometimes arise. This woman is an amazing blend of knowledge, professionalism and Customer Service and Bahia Principe Tulum should consider themselves very fortunate to have her. Thank-you Cinthia on behalf of all of us whose lives you have touched for the better. All the AlaCartes we had were fantastic and again… thank you to all those Waiters and Waitresses that were always there to ensure you were well taken care of and always made you feel that they were happy to serve you. They are such incredible Workers and their work ethic is amazing. For those that have not been to the Bahia Complex, the saving grace is the Shuttle Service that is offered when you stay here. Especially for us elderly folks that may have some mobility issues, it is certainly a welcome blessing due to the massive size of the Complex. Also it is a nice break from walking on those hot and humid days. I will let the other Reviewers cover all the multitude of other things that they maybe wondering about and require more specifics on certain issues based on their own experience. Also the Bahia Principe Group ( Facebook ) is a great source of info as well. I can honestly say, based on my own experience by staying in the Tulum Section that I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that may be considering staying there. I wish you much Love and Safe Travels.

A lovely holiday but a few issues need sorting out.

Pluses….We returned home today after a very relaxing holiday. The checking in and out was easy. The app is a great addition. We loved our room and the layout of the hotel, it is very picturesque with an abundance of nature. Staff are lovely and friendly. A special shout out to Edgar & Victor who were great additions to the entertainment team in the day poolside activities and Christian who holds an enjoyable yoga class. Evening entertainment was also enjoyable, all the team were enthusiastic and created a great atmosphere. The payable shows were worth the money especially the Origen one. Negatives…the buffet is overrun with birds. My husband was targeted twice by different birds, one spraying him with urine and another splated his back. If you leave your table to get a juice etc the birds will be on your plate. The table mats and chairs were often streaked with bird faeces. As vegetarians we would have appreciated the dishes having ‘V’ signs on them rather than trying to work out what we could or couldn’t eat. In more than one occasion a dish that looked vegetarian turned out to have bits of meat or fish in them eg the Minestrone soup. The same could be said for nut allergy sufferers, I watched one holiday maker trying to find out which dishes contained nuts and it was very apparent that the buffet staff were in disagreement amongst themselves. The ice cream is a sloppy mess, it’s more like a milkshake most evenings. Please consider investing in a proper ice cream machine like the Barcello Colonial has. Overall we had a great holiday and despite it sounding dire in the buffet it really isn’t, it just needs to be tweaked. Buffet staff Gabrielle is lovely and made a wonderful table centerpiece for my dad and step mom’s anniversary. Most staff were great. We hope to return.

    Overall It was wonderful.

It was good friends, and amazing family to spend quality time with. Overall, it was a great trip. I highly recommend. We stayed at the Tulum resort this time, because the rooms were renovated which was very nice. I have to give a shout out to Cynthia. She is phenomenal. She works in the lobby at Tulum & she is in charge of everything. My birthday is next week, but I wanted to celebrate it down There, so I told Cynthia and she got the ball rolling. She had gotten someone to deliver sparkling wine to our room, and then for the French restaurant, which is where I wanted to go, Cynthia made sure that the staff there decorated our table and put "Happy Birthday" letters, all layed out in front of my, where I sat. Everyone who works there is outstanding. They really take care of you from the start to the very end. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

    Perfect 2 week stay

Incredibly clean , fantastic food, bright light clean updated room. Two members of staff I would like to mention is Enrique that often worked at the quiet pool, lovely man who couldn't do enough for you and was so funny . Also Josephine who worked around the main pool bar, lovely girl genuine who really did appear to like her job , she was so kind and helpful during our two week staff. The staff work really hard to keep the grounds absolutely pristine. The public toilets were spotless and well attended too every day. The main buffet was absolutely fantastic and we enjoyed all the other restaurants. The rooms were very quiet and we had a fantastic sleep every night. Our housekeeping staff had the place spotless every day. Honestly, not a bad thing to say about this resort .
