The Grand Tulum is a Amazing resort. The location is very well situated, food was amazing at both buffet and restaurants. High lite of trip was the couples massage absolutely amazing as well as the market just down the street. We attended an evening Fiesta as well great food and entertainment can't wait till we return again!

This is our 5th trip to Mayan riviera and this is probably the worst hotel yet. We arrived yesterday and our A/C didn't work and I think still not working properly, TV didn't work, hairdryer also broken. The location is pretty awesome but the hotel is truly rundown. Parts of the roof missing or under tarps, chunks of concrete missing from buildings. Also lack of employees, waiting for customer service 25 minutes and small things like ice cream at the food truck 30 minutes..lol From our experience we have gotten more from other Hotels in the area specially when we are supposed to be ocean front with premium tags and no room service and other perks other Hotels will give you if you have paid for this upgrades.

Jan 15, 2026Fun family vacation at Bahaia.
We went to BP Tulum as a family of 7. My wife and I had purchased a superior ocean front view room. When we arrived in the room we could not see the ocean due to a thick tree line between our room and the ocean. We went back to the desk and they changed our room for the next night. Our new room was great. Perfect view over the pool and stunning sun rises every day. Thank you to the staff for arranging the move. The resort is well kept and the staff are friendly. The resort has a large waterfront footprint with lots of beach chairs. Only a few were reserved with towels early in the morning (as we have experienced at some other resorts. Both Mexican and Indian ala carte resteraunts were very good. Buffet at Tulum was good, but I preferred Coba. Both shouldnoffer more cook to order options for dinner. Lots of activities throughout the day for both adults and kids. Overall really good trip with our family. Would recommend it

Jan 15, 2026Needs better dinner accommodations for guests!
Good hotel and staff just okay! We checked in and requested to book 2 nights we were entitled to at specialty restaurants. NO availability!!! We had 2 infants ( 5 month and 1 year old ) and then after insisting with guest service rep for over half hour , he wanted to give us 9:30 dinner at 1 restaurant!?!?! Our travel agent had to contact them and got us both dinners at a reasonable time with small children. 6pm and 7 pm Guess what when we got to 7 pm dinner restaurant was empty! So many tables available we were not the only people they did this too we came to find out other guests were told they were booked and tables were available They need to do better on dinner accommodation for dinner for guests if we had not insisted we would eat at buffet every night.

Service needs to improve
Staff at reception needs to be able to solve problems better. When there were no towels available for two days we could not enjoy your hotel (beach and pool) and we were told just to write a complaint, no other solutions provided. This is unacceptable since we could not enjoy our stay. Service in à la carte restaurants was rushed and detached. It’s also impossible to get a seat in less than 5 days. The water temperature of the shower was very unpredictable and unstable. No glasses at the service bar quite often. Long lines everywhere.
