Beautiful Hotel with the BEST People & Amazing Beach!
My husband, two small children (5 & 1) & I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is impeccably clean, food was good & staff was the best. They really take care of the resort & make you feel welcome. There are plenty of options for food/drinks, many pools & a beautiful, clean & shallow beach! The hotel is very kid-friendly but also has adults only sections. It's amazing to find a place that balances both so well. We stayed in building 11. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Loved the pillow menu! Great balcony. Upon arrival there was already a crib, monitor, sterilizer & change table in our room. They also have strollers & baby food available! Lots of activities for the kids - loved Azulitos Playhouse! A lot of the staff remembered our kids and would always stop to say hello. We need to give a shout out to them because they made our vacation memorable. AARON & PAULA from the lobby, ROHAN from the towel stand, VIDAL and GERALD the bartenders, and the bartenders at the swim-up bar beside building 11, The young lady & young man from the Playhouse, DIONETTA & ANNA-KAYE from the personal concierge desk. My son grew especially fond of chef TYREEK!! A HUGE thank you to all of you - you are one of the main reasons we would come back! The only one con is that there are no elevators so if you use an assistive device like a wheelchair, it's quite inconvenient. Other than that, this place is fantastic and we would return in a heartbeat!
Holiday rescued by the staff.
We booked this resort for a 10 day holiday because of the reviews and photos, however it became clear that the hotel is tired and needs refurbishment. I would only give the hotel a 3 Star rating but that's only because of the excellent staff who couldn't do enough for you. We booked a swim up room in the adult only are but when we arrived we were allocated a swim up room in another area, there was another couple who also were not happy about the room allocated to them. Reception were very good and immediately moved us to a swim up room in the adult only area. The standard of the room, although not terrible was not what you would expect from a 5 star Tui hotel, stained cushions on sun lounger. Mould and rust in bathroom and shoddy painting. (See photos) it wouldn't take a lot to bring it back to standard. As a coeliac we choose Tui hotels as, with a bit of personal responsibility they cater for my dietary needs. The allergy labelling is not always correct so use your knowledge and if in any doubt avoid the dish. The chefs in the main, Italian and Asian restaurant, were generally very good and will explain what you can an cannot eat, however in the other buffet Resturant it was obvious the chef didn't really know what he was talking about. The entertainment was held around the main pool and was generally very good, highlights included the steel band and magician. The hotel is used quite a lot for weddings by Americans so at times can be a bit loud. While we we there we had a massage in the spa, however After the massage a ended up with severe back pain, so beware. If you wanted to go on any trips we would recommend the Black River Cruise and YS Falls.
This hotel is absolutely amazing! Myself and my partner have just gotten back from a beautiful two week stay here, we also had our wedding here which was beyond belief the wedding breakfast was exquisite! The hotel grounds are kept to a high standard there are lovely gardeners working hard all day long! The food is lovely, lots of choice! Our room was beautiful and spacious. Our cleaner Patricia was just lovely, on our last day she left us the sweetest note and some towel swans! The staff are just something else, they make this hotel, they’re so friendly you feel like a family when you are there. There is a lovely young man named Travel who works in the beach towel hut, very friendly, helpful and down to earth man! We had an amazing holiday, I highly recommend this hotel and Jamaica is just stunning!
"THE BEST" #1
I had an amazing time at this resort which gave me a LUXURY experience from the point of check in. All the team members were friendly and helpful, the room was beyond my imagination- just heavenly, the regular bars serves premium liquors baileys, black label, grey goose.....omg.... who could ask for more! I was treated like royalty and I felt so appreciated by all. The dining experience was magical as the food was made with LOVE, this was apparent in the presentation and taste! I made a good decision to stay at Azul and I have started recommending this resort to all my friends and family members. Indeed Azul is the BEST!
Such lovely and happy people
We arrived at the hotel by taxi we had already upgraded to a premium suite, what a lovely reception we received by the hotel staff nothing was to much bother and they were very courtious. The hotel is excellent the room was very good (swim up). Most of all I thought the staff were absolutely outstanding, extremely well turned out every day and extremely pleasant. The beach here was outstanding cleaned every morning by the staff and excellent sun beds very thick cushions. We found the best restaurant was the mahogany for breakfast at the end of the hotel, nice and quiet. We felt the palm restaurant was better for families much more noise here and slightly disorganised. The bars are good especially the 7 mile bar outside the mahogany restaurant, the only down side we found was lack of choice on beer with only offering one type (red stripe) however the spirts were excellent offering premium brands. Any down sides, yes the traders on the beach, although they were not aloud to come near the hotel or sun beds they did stand off at the waters edge displays their gifts they had not sell including drugs which was a bit off putting. A good holiday we really enjoyed and would go back if we run out of places we had not visited.
