Do Not Stay at this hotel! Do not believe any of the comments. Beach is the worst beach and advertised incorrectly. Out daughter was attacked and held hostage by an hotel guest and the hotel did nothing! This is not a safe hotel. Stay away! The hotel won’t even respond to your needs.

My wife and I are just finishing up a week’s stay at the ava resort in Cancun and we absolutely loved it. From the service, to the food, to the entertainment, and everything in between - we loved our stay. We especially want to thank Javier for giving us extraordinary poolside service each day. We will definitely be coming back!

Excellent stay at Ava!
We had an amazing week at Ava! We traveled as a family with a group of 8 adults and spent 7 nights at the resort. Overall the service was absolutely amazing. Our butlers were Plutarco and Kenia and they were great! They helped us with dinner reservations, and issues with the rooms, scheduling transportation and excursions, etc. The food was great all week! The Mexican restaurant Copal was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter was Ignacio and he was so amazing we had to go back and see him a second time! We also absolutely loved the taco stand, gelato shop, and coffee bar. Orlando, Carlos, Mikel, and other staff at the legendary pool were also amazing. The pools and facilities are super modern and clean. We used the gym every morning, and there was plenty of space and new machines. The spa was incredible. You can definitely tell that Ava is a newer resort and still working out some kinks. We had a couple issues with our rooms, with the AC not working in one and then another having a weird water noise in the walls. But Plutarco and Kenia worked to make sure these issues were resolved promptly. Overall, we had an incredible vacation and came home feeling refreshed and recharged after our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

Mold/water leakage/can't make reservations/we had cock roaches in our room! Room service definitely micro waved. Can't swim in ocean full of sea weed! Won't be returning as it's not what it's advertised to be. 60 percent open with so many flaws

Loved it!!! But management needs work!
Ava Cancun was an amazing stay for my wife and I. The highlights of our trip: The people - Angel, Marco (Taxi), Ivan (Dez Club), Sofi and Oliberio (Legendary Pool). Pictures below! The food - Didn't have a single bad meal, everything was amazing! Favorite was Livo. The resort - Clean, always stocked with what you need, pools were maintained. The only downside: Managers - They stand in the lobby dressed to the 9's, looking and acting important. I had staff come up and ask my concerns. Anytime I had one, they would say let me speak to my manager. They go to their manager, they talk for 2 mins, manager walks away and the staff are unable to help expedite. Not only did I see this with me but I saw guests heated at times with staff and the managers let their staff have it. Don't even care to walk over. Managers should help deescalate situations, not walk around and look pretty. Not sure why their staffed if they won't do anything. Thank God they have great staff who go above and beyond for you!
