Feb 11, 2026Totally Awesome Place. Won't Go Anywhere Else
Absolutely one of the very best places to stay in Maui. We have had the pleasure of staying at Aston Kaanapali Shores 8 times throughout the years. We have seen sea turtles and monk seals on the beach in front of our condo and the whales in January/February put on an awesome show. The hotel is spotless and the rooms are very comfortable and the staff is unbelievable, always anxious to help out with anything you need. The pools and hot tubs surround beautiful garden and ocean views. Restaurants and stores are close by. An absolutely beautiful place to stay.

Feb 01, 2026Hawaii is beautiful, but these rooms are disappointing and dirty.
While the grounds and staff remain excellent, the room was dirty with roaches, dust & grime, dirty bathrooms. This place needs to be refreshed with a total cleanup, new beds, and fixtures, and then I may consider returning.

Great hotel! Additional fees were unfortunate (25$ service fee per night) as was needing to pay for parking but we were aware of the parking fee entering the trip. Rooms were clean and felt clean. That’s one of my biggest “concerns” staying in hotels is feeling uncomfortable and like the space your in is dirty. Our room did not feel that way at all. It would be nice if they would clean your room once per week free of charge (if you want housekeeping it’s an additional fee). Getting new towels and supplies required a bit of asking and back and forth with staff. We’d ask for a certain amount as our room had two bathrooms and the wrong amount was brought up every time however this is extremely minor. Definitely a lot of families staying here but hotel was overall great and the view from our room was AMAZING! Would recommend. Staff was also very quick to answer any questions prior to our stay which was much appreciated.

Nice condo hotel on the ocean
The location is excellent. On the ocean. Across the street from a grocery store. A block from a bus stop that takes you right to Whaler's Village. Two pools. Two hot tubs. Full service restaurant. Great happy hour. Only downside was the age of the furniture in our condo.

Great location, friendly staff and all you need is within walking distance! Superior hotel! Great golf, beaches, fishing and whales everywhere!
