    Bad service

    This hotels location is great. Also most of the staff was friendly. Our favorite where our room attendants. We also have many issues. The room was not ready on ready on time and it was dirty. Also we bought luau tickets from the hotel and were an hour late. We did not have hot water for 3 days and we still don't. The manager called and took 20 dollars off for the inconvenience. I paid over 1600 for this room and expected to get hot water etc. I am here now we will see if they do anything about my stay if not you will see comments of the other 9 peoples experiences as well.

    Bed super uncomfortable, otherwise great place to stay

    My only complaint was that the mattress needed to be replaced big time. The kitchen had everything you could need - plates, silverware, blender, full size fridge, etc. It was great having the washer and dryer, especially with our sandy towels. Location was perfect. But that mattress. I didn't get a good night's sleep once.

    Great Location but rooms can be inconsistent

    I would recommend staying here, but maybe it's for the best to rent from the owner rather than booking a vacation package. Each unit is owned so no matter which review you read, if you don't book a specific unit you won't know what you'll get. Our Unit, a 1 bedroom condo, was in the F building (A, B and F are closest) and was a minute from the beach. It was spacious and had all the amenities you need: fully stocked kitchen with decent appliances, washer/dryer, pull out couch and love seat, big screen TV and PS3, shower (not bath), king size bed... The furniture was old and mattresses on the couch and bed were years since needing to be replaced. My back will need a few days to recover. There was a $20 resort fee added on at check-in, but at least that came with unlimited DVD rentals (lots of brand new movies available in the lobby Kiosk). Parking can be very difficult at night. I had to go to the Office and they had to get a staff member to move their car so I could park. The staff were pleasant and we really enjoyed our stay. The Pools are simple but nice and there are plenty of BBQ's available around the grounds. The location is great with lots of shops and restaurants within a 5min walk. Kamaole 2 is an outstanding beach!

    Wonderful

    Spent our wedding anniversary in Maui, stayed for 3 nights there was a problem in the bathroom with the first apartment,so we were upgraded to a beautiful apartment in the main building. Staff were lovely the manager sent us wine/ chocolates to our apartment. We hired beach chairs so didn't use the pool but it did look nice surrounded by beautiful gardens . We enjoyed our trip to Kihei ,Maui and will never forget it thankyou for making it memorable.

    Reasonable condo located across the street from Kamaole Beach Park, nonchalant service

    This hotel is comprised of individually owned condo units centrally managed by Aston. There is a separate hotel, the Maui Banyan, in the front, closest to the street/beach, then a separately managed condo structure, followed by the four Aston managed condo structures at the rear, furthest from the street/beach. The furthest condo, latest in the alpha, would be 400 meters from the street. Massive parking structure, lower levels are reserved for permanent residents, thus usually need to go to the rooftop. Each condo unit comes equipped with a full kitchen. The unit, sofa, carpet, and blankets had a stale smell. Being aligned vertically toward the ocean, ocean views were partial. Otherwise, it was functional and close enough to a nice wide white sand beach. Service was nonchalant. Front desk was rigid with a 4PM check-in and 11AM check-out. Rules stated to empty trash upon check-out, a bit away being next to the parking structure. We were miffed when searching for the trash bin, asked a custodian in a cart, who verbalized the directions, then ended up seeing him there ... why didn't he offer to take our one bag of rubbish in his nearly empty cart??? Many similar choices along the Kihei/Wailea coastline. Would only stay here again if the price is right.
