Aruba #1 Resort - Must stay for Service, View, Food and Quality of stay.
I have been to this property in 2017 and back again in 2019. My wife and I come down to celebrate my Birthday and our Anniversary. This is our Favourite property in ARUBA. The Service we get from the time the Door opens in the front Lobby to the end of our vacation. No complaints ever. They go above and beyond in their hospitality. Special thank you to Abegail at the front desk she took what we said at check in and sent us a surprise amenity to our room to celebrate special occasions. Thank you Karen GM for this property for the bottle of wine and a kind Voicemail. Truly appreciate your amazing Team who provided us great hospitality. Your Staff show that they care and enjoy working at this property. Marriott has always been great to us and we love that they Care for their Associates. Thank you once again to your team and you for making our stay memorable one.
Another Great time on One Happy Island
Just returned from our twice yearly trip to our favorite resort, Marriott Stellaris. Although we've been returning for years this was our first Tradewinds experience. It proved to be very convenient having water, drinks and snacks available practically all day. Great cup of coffee in the Tradewinds! We thoroughly enjoyed the palapa area for Tradewinds guests. Hermina is a true gem. Her warmth, smile and laughter are unbeatable. She certainly goes above and beyond giving out ice cold towels to cool her guests down at just the right moment. Thank you Hermina, We look forward to seeing you in December! Our room was beautiful as is the entire property. Linda P in housekeeping did a fantastic job and was just lovely. Nora at the Gelato counter is so sweet. The Gelato is great. Last but certainly not least is Carlos Ramos Jimenez (vacation club rep) who year after has gone out of his way to welcome us back and stops by to speak with us and make sure we are well taken care of. He has become a very special friend to us. Thank You Verna & Leslie for always taking great effort in accommodating us.
ANOTHER WONDERFUL STAY AT THE TRADEWINDS CLUB!
Just returned from our first of two annual stays at the Marriott Aruba Tradewinds Club. This "One Happy Island" can also be named "One Friendly Island". The warm, sunny weather is matched by an even warmer people. When we arrive at this resort we are greeted by the friendly hotel front staff. We see the recognition on their faces and are welcomed with a smile, a hug, a kiss/handshake and how have you been. They say welcome home and then proceed to ask about our family. Walking around the resort we are greeted with smiles and good/morning/good afternoon. When we enter the Tradewinds Club our friends Margaret, Rosalinda, and Jackie greet us and we know we are back at our second home. We sit under a palapa on the Tradewinds Beach where Hermina and Sylvia spoil us with cold water, cold towels, and a lunch time reminder. We then stroll around the hotel to look for other familiar faces for more hugs and kisses. Our good friend, Rashad, is there in the casino always asking what he can do to more our stay enjoyable. As always we say just seeing you brings a smile to our faces. The same with Normen Brooks, slot supervisor, who is truly pleased to see is again. And then off to Gelato Co. to look for our friends Lyn and Nora. Unfortunately Lyn is on vacation but there is Nora greeting us with that infectious smile we find throughout the resort. We are already counting down the days until we return to our second home and extended family in November. The exceptional customer service as well as the genuine welcoming us back each trip by all hotel staff are why we keep returning to the Marriott Hotel.
Gorgeous Property and the Perfect Location - Would 100% stay again!
My husband and I booked our trip to Aruba on points and could not be more thrilled with the Marriott Stellaris. We arrived via SW airlines around 1pm and were checked in immediately by Allen - who is amazing! We noted in our reservation that we were celebrating our 8th anniversary and our first trip to Aruba. We were pleasantly surprised to find a chilled bottle of champagne in our upgraded room - we booked partial ocean view but were upgraded to premium ocean view, which was awesome! Additionally, Allen also surprised us our 2nd night with MORE champagne and a delicious chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary - it was SO sweet of him! Our room was plenty big enough, with a super comfy king size bed, sofa, desk, large bathroom with 2 sinks (so nice since we don't have this at home), and a large shower. I loved our balcony because, while it overlooked the adults pool, the balconies are angled so you get a better view of the ocean. The balcony also had two chairs and a small table. The resort is gorgeous - we chose not to eat at any of the larger restaurants but did order a few things from the beach and pool bar. The wings are delicious and remember happy hour is from 11-1 and 3-5 - a selection of drinks are 2 for $16! My husband and I partook in that many times. :) Jasmine, the pool server, did a great job and Robert, the beach attendant, was awesome! Service was quick and excellent. Actually I forgot - we did eat dinner at Atardi one night! It was so pretty being right on the beach at sunset. We set our reservations for 7pm and had plenty of time to see sunset. Our waiter was very nice but we were forgotten about a little bit - but I'm on island time so it wasn't a huge deal. The food was delicious - BUT - I do wish my mahi mahi had come with a side of something like rice or risotto. Otherwise, it was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We had excursions booked most days so we didn't find a need for a palapa except on our last day. Instead we put two beach loungers in the shade of a palm tree and then grabbed an empty palapa later in the day. The towel hut was great - giving out as many towels as needed. They also keep a larger dispenser of water available for filling water bottles, which is super handy! Now for the pools: my husband and I are in our mid-late 30's, travelling by ourselves (no kids), and had no desire to go to the adult pool. In my opinion, it was the "no fun zone." I much preferred the fun, lively atmosphere of the main pool. There was as swim up bar, fun music playing (including an awesome band on Friday night when the pool was HOPPING), a volleyball net where games were always going, and tons of friendly people ready to make friends. We met so many nice people throughout our stay! We didn't visit the adult pool once because it wasn't what we were looking for. I LOVED the location of the Marriott - we literally walked everywhere. It was about 1.25 miles to the furthest point on the "strip" of restaurants and we only took a cab one time during our 5 night stay. We spent all of our late nights down at MoomBa Beach Bar, just past the Marriott Surf Club. With all of this said, I would 100% go back to the Marriott and am already trying to figure out how soon we can get back. Thank you so much Marriott!
Excellent, once again!!
So my mother and I returned to the Marriott stellaris resort this year for an 8 night stay. this is my third time at the property and my mother’s second and we are going to make this a yearly tradition because we had absolutely the best time, once again. I booked my stay through JetBlue vacations and I got a wonderful deal with our favorite breakfast buffet at Lavista included and a beautiful ocean view room. our room was ready for early for check-in and the staff could not be more helpful checking us in, Angelica actually checked us in and out and she was extremely helpful in making sure I had all the information about the property and I was given my vacation club discount card because of my Marriott gold member status. Romeo, Roy, and all of the other bellmen and gentlemen outside who are kind enough to hail taxis for you, remembered us and were so kind. My mother used to work at Starbucks so both of us are big fans of our espresso drinks and the ladies in the Starbucks in the lobby are just simply the best. Many of them remembered us from the year before and the others learned our orders and our names almost immediately, we really did have so much fun chatting with them and their service was excellent. One of the highlights of our stay is the buffet breakfast at Lavista daily. Catherine the hostess was always so kind to us, we saw her virtually every morning and over all of our mornings there we had service from Paulina, Yokasta, and Magdalena. Paulina remembered us immediately and she really went out of her way to make sure we felt special and we were taken care of, I really can’t say enough about the service I received from everyone but these three ladies did stand out. The food is exceptional I highly recommend it, it’s fresh, they make omelettes to order and then on Sunday their brunch is absolutely to die for. it’s a shame we were only there for one Sunday. They have a carving station with a rib roast and skirt steak and all kinds of grilled fish and meats, along with shellfish of every variety, delicious pastry, you simply can’t eat it all. For lunch we would usually eat at waves bar and Grill either at the Grill or at our beach Palapa. Arsenio was super helpful and he served us many of the days we were there, he very attentive and very kind. the chicken wings are outstanding as is the Marriott burger and the shrimp cocktail. I also enjoyed the fish sandwich. I also highly recommend the gelato and Co. in the lobby, I must’ve gone there every day after being on the beach and their selections are just out of this world. I especially liked the vanilla and the cookies and cream. John, Jeremy the others at the towel hut couldn’t be more helpful. we would book our palapa for three days at a time and my mother would go downstairs early and the gentlemen would set up our towels and chairs, they couldn’t be more helpful. I highly recommend to anyone going to just pay the $30 a day and book your palapa for three days at a time, there’s no reason to get caught without one or to stand out there early in the morning just to book it free, it’s worth the money. Housekeeping services are on point. Our room was always tidied perfectly and any extra items we asked for we always received. Overall I absolutely love this resort, I had an absolutely wonderful time once again and I plan to be coming back. If I had to make one suggestion that would’ve improved my stay it would be to have access to a microwave at some point either in the room or on the floor because often my mother and I would bring home doggy bags from restaurants or we would need to reheat our espresso or coffee, as we enjoy it piping hot and there was just nowhere to do that. So unfortunately once my coffee got lukewarm I didn’t want it anymore and I would have to throw it away and go get another one. It would’ve been lovely to have the option either on your floor in your room to reheat food or to reheat a coffee or tea, but that is literally the only suggestion that would’ve improved my stay! Thank you Marriott, and we will see you again next year! -the Willsens
