The WORST!!! TOTALLY OVERRATED AND THE STAFF IS RUDE!
As a Hilton honors member who booked my trip in advance I expected to have been greeted without attitude. But, that is exactly what I received from the front desk upon check-in. When checking-in my rate that I was quoted by the Hilton rep on the phone with my corporate code did not come up in the reservation. I explained my company and the corporate program to the front desk help who said she could not assist. I then requested the manager. The manager came out and questioned my honesty! She said, she wanted proof. I said, I have my reservation on the APP. I showed her the calling record from my IPHONE. She said, "who did you speak to?" (I was utterly appalled!) I replied, "I did not get the name of the reservations agent." I never have and travel for business. The manager refused to check me in without proof. I explained that i had meetings that day. I had already spent well over forty-five minutes at the desk. I said, "would you like me to call corporate?" She said, "yes!" She said, "call the desk here and I will patch you through!" So, I did. I then spent over an hour on the phone and made it all the way to TX to Hilton HQ where they appologized and provided a credit. They gave me a reference number and told me to go discuss it with the desk. Corporate told me any additional charges would be taken care of by them. I hung up, went back to the desk, asked for the manager....she came out and said, "yes I spoke to the person at corporate." She then stated that it would take awhile for the code to appear in my account. She did not want to validate it. I insisted that they check me in at full price and handle it later with corporate. I have never been treated so poorly!!!! I missed my afternoon meeting. The total time of check-in with phone calls and front desk issues was upwards of two hours plus. I will NEVER use this property again. Not to mention the entire property was under construction. The grounds are a total mess! Ridiculous, and far below average.
Avoid while under construction. And maybe in general.
The NY owners have decided to do a very significant renovation and reconfiguration. There is a (too) small warning about the construction on the web site. The excavation machinery and noise are everywhere, even if you aren't staying right next to the excavation (as my son's room was) and they have torn up the center open grassy area to install an adults only pool. Quite sad. The open area was the traditional scene of the Annual Christmas tree lighting and multiple other festivities. And, importantly gave a lovely view of Piestawa Peak, an iconic welcome to Phoenix. All that is GONE to be replaced by another swimming pool and bar. You might as well be in a huge Scottsdale hotel with no history or architectural interest.
Great surprise on a work trip
Beautiful place. Could stay solely on the grounds of the hotel and still be satisfied with my trip. Big fan of the architect. Very helpful staff. Grounds were easy to navigate. Will hopefully be back soon.
Incredible Service By Incredible People
Today is Sun, Dec 8, and I'm checking out. This is my first stay and I am highly impressed. The property, the food, and the people are all excellent. The people was the best part. The check in with Nichole was literally the best part of the stay. I know that sounds odd, but I'll explain later. Property: The property is beautiful, older but well maintained, and they're currently doing upgrades to the property that will make it even better. Food: (Because everyone wants to eat😊) The food was outstanding. Great menu at Frank and Albert's and PERFECT service from Kala. We'll talk about her in a moment. Wright's Bar had great chicken wings and drinks. People: My goodness, Kala at Frank and Albert's is PHENOMENAL!!!! It was our anniversary celebration and she turned it into an entire event. She had us doing taste testing from the chefs, provided dessert to our room we shared stories about our grandmothers, she was so professional, yet so authentic and human. I almost forgot she worked there and felt I was talking to my life long friend. Her knowledge of EVERYTHING the restaurant serves, knowledge of the property and outstanding service will never be forgotten. Nichole at the front desk. Pretty awesome when you say your name to check in and she remembers speaking to you several days earlier on the phone and the entire conversation, says, "happy anniversary", upgrades your room just because, and then as a surprise had a card for two free drinks and a box of chocolate sent to your room. Her smile is infectious and I noticed how other guests were drawn in when speaking with her as well. Everything about her says future corporate trainer or managing a property like the Biltmore. She embodies the Hilton brand 110%. My wife is having me book a stay for her and our daughter, because of the service. Lastly, I finally got her to call me Leroy (I'm in my 30's) instead of Mr. Douglas, III. That was the only challenge.😉 We'll be back to this property specifically because of the human experience provided by Nichole and Kala. Respectfully, Leroy Douglas III

Fantastic hotel with 1st class service. The staff took care of all our needs. We will continue to return to this hotel. The rooms are clean, modern and luxurious. Great gym, spa and pool. The food at the hotel is good with many great restaurants a short Uber away.
