Wonderful Stay at Amsterdam Manor
This was our second trip to Aruba and we have stayed at Amsterdam Manor both times and I will book my next vacation to Aruba here as well. This hotel is just what my husband and I look for when we travel. Well maintained, great location, exceptional staff. We are already planning our return trip in 2020!!
80 DEGREES IN THE SHADE!
This place is phenomenal! It stayed the same temperature the entire time.... The water and beach was so inviting, I accepted the invite and went swimming and jet skiing!! Our room was ok...it had a kitchenette for cooking, a bedroom, modern bath and a living room: just enough space. The hotel assistants and managers were so helpful to us with our room mix up and the worked it out....please get one of the rooms with a balcony...well worth it. I had a room with a patio and the beach was a walk across the street...I liked that. We stayed on the beach till 2am and felt safe just enjoying the breeze and a well lite, served and cooked dinner. Please be warned it is expensive in Aruba...we went on a chartered fishing vessel and cooked our fish in the kitchenette and shared it with our neighbor. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and I did not want to leave the premise but I ventured out to the downtown/shopping areas late at night and all was safe.
Hi all, we visited this resort with another couple and stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. It was an amazing room, very clean, spacious, a deck that overlooked the ocean. We all really enjoyed it. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They upstairs bar was fun to visit during happy hour, the breakfast buffet was one of the best around. Also a short walk to the grocery store if you prefer to dine in. The only think I would like to have seen differently would be a larger pool (although the pool they have is very well kept).
This was our first time staying in Aruba and we are so happy to have chosen Amsterdam Manor. We traveled without our children to celebrate our 20th anniversary and stayed in a studio located on the third floor. It was immaculate as was the entire hotel and grounds. The studio was well equipped and had everything we could want - including a fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. We had dinner at sunset on the beach at Passions and greatly enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. Our favorite part was the location. This hotel is located on eagle beach - much quieter and less crowded than palm beach. We never had a problem finding a palapa or chairs. We had plenty of space on the most beautiful beach I have ever seen (and we’ve traveled throughout the Caribbean). Finally a HUGE thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome. The front desk is personable, professional and helpful. And the housekeeping staff did an excellent job keeping our room tidy and sand free. My only suggestion for improvement is fresh complimentary coffee in lobby in the am. The room coffee is only so so. We hope to return next year and if we do it will definitely be to Amsterdam Manor.
Exceeded our expectations!
We loved staying here. Will come back again. This is better in person then the pictures show. The rooms and grounds are wonderful. Everything is so nicely kept and clean.. We were a group of 9 couples. Between us all we had 2bedroom suites, one bedrooms and studio rooms. All of us were happy with our rooms. I was in a two bedroom and was happily surprised by the size of the bedrooms. The suite itself is quite roomy too. All of the staff were great. Very helpful and pleasant. Shout out to Peter the bartender. So much fun! Franz at Mangos. Such a pleasant young man. And the concierge! Very patient and friendly while helping us orgaznize large group outings. Crossing the street to the beach was so easy and literally only a few feet away. We always felt we were in a resort right on the beach. There were always open palapas and chairs even for our large group. The beach attendants were always helpful and attentive. The only downside was Mangos. The food was only so so. We only ate there once the whole trip. We couldn’t understand that as the food at the beach bar was good and our dinner at Passions was excellent. We had a group of 18 for dinner at Passions on the beach and the staff made it a wonderful experience. You could also walk to the Super Foods market. 5 minute walk. We did it twice. We all agreed we will be returning to Amsterdam Manor.
