Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rather than describe how disappointed my family and I were with the “ocean view” room that we paid a substantial sum of money for, I will let the photo attached to this review speak for itself. We tried to no avail to seek a happy resolution, and instead the staff insisted that the city/parking lot view is in fact an ocean view room, but we were welcome to pay even more than we were already paying (essentially double) to upgrade to a suite. We have previously stayed at the Laylow in a room with a partial ocean view and though the hotel is not on the beach, the view was much better than what the Alohilani calls an “ocean view,” (plus the hotel and staff there are simply superb, which I can’t say about the Alohani). I have nothing against a city view, but if the Alohilani is going to charge patrons more for an ocean view, then they should provide what was paid for.
Lovely hotel, newly renovated, great staff, good food, entertainment & views! Jones and Nikki are always happy, bubbly and friendly! Great vibes from them! Always willing to help others out and make them feel welcomed!
New updated with a view
This place has been updated a lot. The design is beautiful. The rooms are alos clean and very chic. The view of the ocean and diamond head was very clear from our room. There is also a breakfast buffet Lychee which was very good. We hope to return soon.
Nice Stay at the end of our Hawaii Trip
We stayed at the Alohilani for 5 nights at the end of our Hawaii trip, the hotel is modern and located conveniently on the southern side of Waikiki beach. The rooftop pool was a great location to relax and watch the sunset with a cocktail. The room was clean and the bed comfy.
AWFUL AND DISGUSTING
This is the most awful hotel I've ever been. It's even worse of some hostels. I would advice to go in some other motel or camping. Without counting it was our honeymoon. As you can see from pictures, the toilets was dirty from previous customer's pee and it has been cleaned only after my 5th request. Finally, exhausted of waiting nothing, I talked to the manager who just shaked my hands with normal apologize. The shower was really bad constructed because it was impossible to avoid of getting wet all the floor. As a cherry on the top of the cake: cockroaches got out from the pool floor!! DISGUSTING!!
