The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. They usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:

-Non-motorized water sports may be limited or banned
-Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts get a permit enabling them to serve alcohol to nonnative people during the ban)

Great food and amazing service. Rooms ok,housekeeping great but weird setup for room. Pools and beach amazing. Staff make this resort 5 star to us. Especially Wilkin,Nelson,Francisco j Fernando t Henry Ramirez and Daniel the restaurant manager. Thanks also to Julio at the swim up bar.
Just finishing up our week here and we are having an amazing time! The entertainment staff is so nice and they are very interactive! Our favorites are Roger Fresh and O’Neil! They both have been so funny but all of them are great! Our favorite restaurant is the Mexican and the Italian! All the waiters are so friendly. The room service is good but I was disappointed when I went to order food at 10:30 and they wouldn’t serve it to me when it is suppose to be available until 11. We told the entertainment staff and they told the supervisor but not sure it will matter. Other than that we plan to come back!!
No food options until 6:30pm
The Larimar Now just finished a renovation and the facilities are much improved, however, they don’t have any food options until after 6:30pm. The buffet won’t let anyone in before 6:30, so I suggest eating a very late lunch or you’ll starve around here. The pool side grill areas usually shut down before 5:00pm so that’s not an option for early dinner either. Very disappointed the new late restaurant times. Once you get in the food is well presented but tastes very mediocre.
We came home yesterday from our amazing vacation!! We were a group of 9, including our 4 children. The staff at the resort were incredible- always friendly, helpful, funny, and eager to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The resort itself was beautiful, always chairs available at the pool and beach. Room service was quick, cleaning staff did a great job, food was great. Food at the Japanese and Mexican restaurants was delicious! I would love to return here one day!
Home away from home
This is my fourth stay at now and by now I do feel like I am going to my second home. From the very first day we felt wonderful and loved Thursday the rooms are newly renovated and beautiful all the pools are renovated and look beautiful beaches cleaned every day and in the best shape variety of food and a buffet help satisfy even the pickiest eaters entertainment was wonderful fair to mention mini baby and omega as well as our Apple rep Lenny Cepin I cannot remember all the waiters names but ChristianThat guy was the best and last but not least our butler Cesar this guy is like family to all of us now such a wonderful person caring always there to help always there for all of our needs and always with a smile miss you amigo can’t wait to go back
