    Great accommodations and friendly staff

    Entertainment staff was fantastic! Alan was extremely friendly and got everyone involved at the pool games. He was genuine & funny! Servers were very friendly too & kind :) If you introduced yourself and said hello they remembered your name Check in was full AC too. Front desk staff were very nice. Accommodations were very nice. AC in the rooms was super good. Bed was comfy. We had a lagoon views& it’s was great. Lots of restaurant choices. 6 total for dinner and the 7th you could pay for. They give you a lot of options if you want to upgrade for different features but it can get costly.

    Impressed with Structure and Service - Rodolfo and Gloria

    I stayed at Paradisus Cancun in a group of 19 people. Some were family concierge and some couples with no children. We all loved our experience. Let me break it down: Family Concierge - Simply amazing and totally worth the extra money. Rodolfo and Gloria were awesome arranging all restaurant reservations, Balinesa Beds and even going the extra mile arranging a Birthday Party for my daughter. The lounge is the perfect place to chill after lunch. It’s always stocked with food, drinks and there’s air conditioning. The oceanview rooms are simply amazing, fairly new and the view is to die for. Swimming Pool and Beach - Swimming Pool is beautiful and large. We hang out mainly at the kids pool as it’s very shallow. The bar pool was always full but the bartenders always managed to serve the drinks with no wait. Beach was beautiful and the ocean colors are amazing. Drink service a bit scarce but still come. Food - It was good. A lot of variety, and Mole and Lapalapa are worth the reservation. Market Grill was pretty average in my opinion but the location is great. The ice cream bar was a go to 3 times a day and the Nespresso Bar is awesome too. Limited hours but can’t complaint. The Japanese was delicious! Hotel Structure- OMG.. it’s beautiful! The lounge is something to be remembered! They burn incense throughout the day so it smells amazing too. Service - I thought the hotel had great service. I would say 95%. You do have the odd waiter in the restaurants that is not having a good day. The waiters in the pool were pretty amazing! Entertainment- I loved all the shows. They were well done and different every day. I think my only cons is that they need more air conditioning areas. There was only 2 restaurants with air conditioning. When you are at a 39C all day, would feel good to have more options with air conditioner. Another one was just the music at the pool. It was a bit of a hit and miss. Thank you again to Rodolfo and Gloria for taking care of us every day.

    Girls Trip

    On arrival the hotel is stunning and luxurious from the drive up the entrance and walking into the hotel. The staff are happy and helpful. They handed beautiful smelling towels that’s very refreshing after a long flight. On checking in there was an issue, we was given the wrong rooms. The check in staff did apologise and sent a bottle of Prosecco up to apologise. We was moved to the correct rooms 2 days later. The food isn’t great considering it’s 5*. I was expecting better. My group and I got food poisoning from 2 of the restaurants (Mole and Mix grill). There could be more sun loungers with umbrellas as it’s too hot and dangerous to be laying directly in the sun all day. Skin cancer is real people! They have booths that are in the shade however you can’t sit on these for more that 2 mins without staff saying it’s $70 for these. Which is very cheeky as they all in the shade giving most people not much choice but to either burn or pay extra. You also have to pay $35 just to use the spa facilities considering it’s all inclusive I think this is also cheeky. Access to use the facilities should be free. However all being said I had a lovely stay! The staff couldn’t be more helpful and cheerful. The hotel is clean, room was always cleaned well. Thanks

    Beautiful beach - average hotel

    This hotel has to sections; normal and royal service. We were in royal service. This comes with a butler service. The hotel has a beautiful beach and the amenities are in okay condition. The food and drinks offered are sub par. The butler service is nice, however our butler had a day off during our 4 night stay and no substitute was appointed. We booked with an offer that gave us 500 USD in hotel credit. They forgot to mention that this credit was in the form of worthless coupons where most were for services already included. SPA and other offers on property is prices far over market price. There are lots of other hotels to choose from. We are Melia gold members, however this made no difference at property. Super slow service in all restaurants and by the pool. Beautiful beach.

    Wish I could give it a better rating..

    Forewarning, unless you are booked in Royal Service, you will really feel the difference. Several restaurants were closed so choices were limited, Enso, Blue Agave, Mole and finally Market Grill, There is virtually no daytime entertainment or activities going on, which can make for a boring day, and there is no lounge with pool or ping pong tables, which would make a nice break if you wanted out of the sun. There are no signs or notices as to what the nightly show will be or where, which was odd, but I found unless you wandered around on your own, there were no signs for the concierge desk or anything really. The beach was beautiful, and we lucked out that we always found chairs, We only went to the pool once, and it was ok.. my biggest gripe.. The room, we were in 1414 in the Club Melia tower It was old, and in need of renovating, desperately. We want down to the check in desk, and asked if we could change rooms, and although the resort was apparently at 60% capacity, this could not be accommodated if we wanted to keep our king bed ?!?! We were given the option of 2 beds or spent the $480.00 USD to upgrade to Royal Service, NOT COOL We were told others would love our King bed,this left a bad taste in my mouth We asked to be put on a list if a room came up, and other than a phone call the same day asking if the room was ok (I said not really) no one ever followed up. Overall I'm not one to complain, but would I consider this a 5 star vacation ? NO, would I come back here ? NO
