***Important Information for our guests***
The Dominican Republic imposes various restrictions each year for Easter. The restrictions usually begin the Thursday prior to Good Friday, and run a few days past Easter Sunday. The following regulations may be enforced:
*Motorized watersports may be banned
*Non-motorized water sports may be limited, or banned
*Alcohol consumption may be restricted (most resorts obtain a special permit which enables them to serve alcohol to nonnative persons during the ban)
*Music may be limited or silenced
These guidelines are currently vague because actual enforcement by the local government does vary greatly from one year to the next. Each year the actual policies are not published by the local authorities until just prior to Easter. These rules are designed for the safety of everyone, as beaches get extremely busy during this period.

Won't be back
the pool and the beach is the only best part's, and the gift shop, some restaurant's, kids area, my room wasn't that great, Buffet was the worst, coun't leave from the place, we couldn't drink the water we could only drink the bottle water.
Most Amazing Beach
The beach was amazing at the Occidental Caribe. The chairs were spaciously spread along an extremely clean beach area with beautiful palm trees shading the entire area. As I walked along the beach and noticed other resorts, there was no comparison. This beach was such a treat for our Caribbean vacation. Our room was also amazing and we had a straight out view of the ocean. It was fun to wake up and sit out on our balcony listening to the waves crashing on the shore or to sit out at night viewing the lit up pools with the ocean beyond. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The food was good and it was fun to try many different things at the buffet or at one of the specialty restaurants. The overall experience was fantastic. Improvements can be made to the entertainment that was offered during the day at the pool and in the evenings.
Family get together and vacation
It could not have been better. Excellent in all areas. The beach was terrific. I want to commend this resort for having so many chairs - no need to reserve them because there was always chairs available. Same goes with the pool area. The only concern was not with the hotel, but with rude guests when entering the rooms after midnight - making so much noise and talking out loud.
Great hotel clean and neat, totally renovated pool. friendly staff and always willing to help you with anything. You must visit Tokyo restaurant, The food was delicious The beach 🏝 is amazing, . I will definitely come back
WONT GO BACK
Staff Is rude especially if they don't see you with money in hand to tip them. Pool was HOT like bath water and had throw up floating around and the music was horrible. The food was not good at all. It was a pain to have to make dinner reservations early in the AM if you wanted to have dinner. You can't book in advance so it was hit an miss.
