Stayed at Turtle Bay on the Night of our wedding. Only room left was an ada room so no complaints there regarding the non traditional room/ bathroom. Was definitely not impressed by the customer service though. On check in as we got our room key the lady checking us in never cracked a smile nor did she acknowledge the fact that we just got married (my wife was still in her wedding gown). The room view was great as it overlooked Roy’s and that side of T Bay. Unfortunately no bath robes were provided in the room which I thought was odd for a $400 a night room. The biggest thing though that I was disappointed with was again customer service/ never even got a card from T Bay to acknowledge the fact that we were spending our wedding night there. The valet guys weren’t very nice either. They didn’t acknowledge the fact that we were standing right there as they pulled my truck up. So I had to go ask again for my keys and say hey guys that’s my truck you just drove up can I get my keys. Just no personal service at all. I’m actually bummed I tipped them, cause they were kinda agro. Again not nice, no smiles to be had. I get it that they’re probably over tourists but it’s their job to be nice especially when I’m just trying to be nice to them. We live in Waialua on the North Shore and now I kinda feel bad for tourists who have to get treated like how I was treated at T Bay.
Cottage made a big resort feel private
Hearing the waves crashing just outside our door was unforgettable. The private balcony and yard with hammock and beach access made it feel like we were in our own home. The resort itself is large, and we were not impressed with the big lobby and breakfast buffet, nor did we use the pools. But we loved the binoculars on the cottage and walking along the beach to the famous banyan tree and the historical pillbox used during military times.
Turtle Bay is good.
I wouldn't call it great. But it's pretty damn good. Older hotel, and it's feeling it's age in some places, but overall, you're going to be paying resort prices for the best resort on the North Shore of Oahu.
The perfect anniversary trip
Staying Turtle Bay was the best decision about our trip to Hawaii. The resort embodied perfection; the staff was fantastic, activities were vast, food was wonderful and the sights were breathtaking. This is a resort where they pay attention to every little detail in order to stand out....make a good decision today, and stay at Turtle Bay!
Well below expectations. Save your cash
Overpriced. Food average. Restaurants closed two days of the week, the bar closed one day of the week. We were there for three days and couldnt access these facilities. No other facilities were explained to us upon arrival or at any time during our stay. You cannot keep snorkeling equipment past 4:30 in the afternoon..you have to return every day. Nice grounds and the room was ok..a bit tired.
