Best Birthday Ever! Best resort hands down!
I love love love Grand Velas Los Cabos. The service was by far the best I have ever experienced. Karla Pina was our concierge and took care of us from the moment we stepped out of our transportation. All the rooms over look the Sea of Cortez and are very well equipped. We stayed in a Grand Suite with a plunge pool on the lanai! The hotel provides robes, a cute pool bag, and wonderful amenities too many to name. It was my 50th birthday trip and one night while we we at dinner we were provided with a special dessert and a happy birthday song and upon returning to our room there were balloons, bottle of champagne, a special card and the jacuzzi tub filled with water and rose petals. Karla was so thoughtful. The restaurants are all very wonderful! Great gourmet food. Excellent drinks! Nice gym and the best Spa. SE spa has a water ceremony that you can experience a full 80 minutes before your treatment featuring different pools, jacuzzi, dry sauna, steam room and cold room. Each station is guided by a staff member who offers you things like frozen grapes and berries and juices between stations. The massage was very relaxing! All the staff at the restaurants and pool were all so kind! Hugo Ardines with his lovely vibrant personality served popsicles and pampering with things like sun glass polishing. His smile is contagious! Tomas Gonzales brought us many drinks pool side and Arquimides Lorenzo at the pool side restaurant served the best ceviche and Tostadas. The chef at Velas 10 by the water came out and greeted us after our meal and we shared many thanks. I could go on and on. There are too many wonderful people to name! If you want to be pampered, have great food, great selection of drinks, wonderful spa experience then I recommend Grand Velas Los Cabos. You won’t be disappointed! We will be back!
Adrian was our main contact. Great guy that did a great job for us. He even called us once we were home to make sure all was well. Hugo at the pool is a legend. The day is so much brighter when he appears. That said everyone at the pool was amazing but Hugo made theatre out of his role and that made a difference. We made some lovely new friends around the pool area that is very social. Love the adults only section. Restaurants are all good BUT in our view, for dinner, Velas 10 and Lucca. Steaks in Velas 10 and lobster linguine in Lucca. The service everywhere is impeccable. You will not go hungry or thirsty but you might gain a bit of weight :) The quality of the staff communication reflects the quality of the hotel and the commitment to training. One thing that would help is a tips policy. It seemed rather an odd arrangement. We suggest that there is a central pool that guest can tip into for restaurant, other services and bar teams. Butlers and room cleaning is easy to deal with.

We attended all restaurants in the hotel except Piaf. No time. Our favourite would have to be Velas 10. Our waiter Edwardo was absolutely fabulous and spoiled us with his knowledge of food, wine and even created a ‘full moon’ for us! Then fireworks!! 😉👍 Cocina De Autor staff and food was magnificent. Friedas staff brilliant and remarkable Mexican compilations. All staff were incredible and our butler Laura could not do more to help us.. she was marvellous, created bubble bath with rose petals for our anniversary and champagne and charcuterie in our room. This is a very large resort located about mid-way between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo. It is all-inclusive in nature and they have many fine restaurants (including a Michelin star). That in itself, with the unlimited drinks, justifies a good protion of the high price of the rooms. The spa was amazing. Make sure to plan time to enjoy the full water ceremony. We enjoyed our stay, however, when paying this much for a vacation you kind of expect perfection. Its in the details where they fell a little short: messed up our room reservation, some restaurants were not open during the posted hours, wine in the mini-bar was already open and partially drank when we pulled it out, housekeeper moved jewelry to the safe (locked it) and didn't leave a note causing much panic and a call to maintenance to get into the safe. These are the things that keep them from 5-star rating in my book. They do a lot of things right to make your stay special, just need to work on those details.
Outstanding Vacation and amazing place to stay.
We just returned fro, our trip to Grand Velas Los Cabos, where we celebrated our 10th anniversary. Everything was just perfect, our arrival at the resort began with a welcome drink, cold towel service and a short neck massage, while another person was taking care of our check in. Our personal butler guided us to our suite , we booked the wellness suite and it was outstanding, it included a massage every two night at the room or spa. We choose the spa and their massage , is a must try, a experience you have to try yourself. This resort really is taking care of their guest, providing a personalized experience. Food at all restaurants was great, we also tried the suite service for breakfast and dinner and it was outstanding. There is nothing else that i can write here, besides, its worth a visit, you will not be disappointed and we can’t wait to come back soon. Thanks to all employees at this resort for making our anniversary unforgettable, it could not have been better.
